Nancy Grace was just talking about Sen Kerry
The legislation that allows sexually abused children to sue after they've turned 18. This one, I think.

S.2155 : A bill to provide meaningful civil remedies for victims of the sexual exploitation of children.
Sponsor: Sen Kerry, John F. (introduced 12/20/2005) Cosponsors (1)
Committees: Senate Judiciary
Latest Major Action: 12/20/2005 Referred to Senate committee. Status: Read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

First thing I've ever heard her say that I was even remotely interested in.
She annoys me. I'm gift wrapping, though, and can't find the remote. I hope it's not in something I've already wrapped.

1. Who is Nancy Grace?
Sorry, my 'fount of all knowledge' clock has run out on me. Never heard of her.

3. You lucky girl.
She's CNN's resident expert on missing white women.

"Nancy Grace" is television's only justice themed/interview/debate show, designed for those interested in the justice stories of the day. Grace challenges guests on the most controversial and high-profile legal issues of the day by drawing on her unique perspective as a former violent crimes prosecutor and as a crime victim herself. Nancy Grace provides viewers with a clear understanding of not only the top trials, but also the cases often overlooked.

4. She is that annoying lady that was on Court TV, now on CNN Headline News
She was visible throughout the Michael Jackson case.

5. Well,
She is a flared-nostril, man-hating protagonist in any drama of the day involving dead/missing women, rape or other vile act. Formerly of Court TV, she is now flaring her nostrils on CNN. Her voice annoys the shit out of me. She is bitter and mean-spirited and if I had no remote or choice, I would hurl my TV out the window.

9. For what it's worth, I don't make these comments lightly.

I am fully aware of Nancy Grace's background. I also watched the Larry King program where she recalled her personal experience at the time of and since the murder of her fiance. It was uncomfortable to watch because she seemed so bitter (if that is even the appropriate term).

In fact, on her own program she seems to alienate a lot of people. This was never more evident to me than when her entire line up of legal commentators (even the one's leaning toward a guilty verdict) during the coverage of the Michael Jackson trial, rebuked her (on air) at its conclusion for her prejudgment and biased commentary throughout the trial. She did the same thing throughout the Kobe Bryant trial. As a rights advocate, I expect to hear staunch defense of victims in her comments, I don't expect to hear the level of bias she spews, which often ignores the facts.

So while I acknowledge her accomplishments, I cannot condone her behavior and bitterness. There are a lot of people who approve of her (CNN does), I am not one of them.

10. I have a friend who just loves her.
I don't get it.
Personally, I feel for her horrible loss. And it's admirable that she did something constructive to deal with her pain.
But I also find her grating and unwatchable. If I want my ears to bleed, I'll call my mother.
JMHO.

7. LOL Even I had the "pleasure" to know her
because I saw her several times on Larry King. And yes, she really is very annoying.

8. Nancy Grace is a legal analyst and a victims right advocate.
Nancy Grace is a legal analyst and a victims right advocate. Nancy studied Shakespearean literature in college and planned to become an English Professor.
This all changed when she was a senior in College and her fiancé was murdered in cold blood, for $35.00 three weeks before their wedding. This propelled her to enroll in law school. She became a Fulton County Prosecutor in Atlanta GA. She argued over a hundred cases and NEVER LOST A SINGLE CASE. I personally think Nancy Grace is someone who should be respected. She is the voice for a lot of murdered victims that no longer have a voice.

11. I respect your opinion and her accomplishments.
But I still can't watch her.
Just my opinion. Obviously not shared by everyone.
Great thing about cable TV is that there are so many channels.

12. Didn't Nancy Grace actually start crying for the Hurricane victims
as she watched nobody go to help them?

Didn't she critisize this administration for that incompetence?

I have not watched much CNN since prior to the election when I realized how phoney they were. But at one time, I did like her. And I liked what I saw she did after the hurricane.

13. So did I and so did millions of other people.
Hey, I don't think Nancy Grace is a bad person. For all I know, she may be a very good person. I just can't stand to watch her. She annoys the hell out of me with that shrill, accusatory tone. I also can't watch Rita Cosby. Maybe I have 'voice issues'.
Luckily, I found the remote, and can turn her off.

14. Yea, Rita Crosby's voice bothers me.
She also gets to in depth with questions. She is still in that fox mode. She asks a police cheif right after a murder occurs questions she knows he cannot answer and then she continues to ask the same question.

15. Rita Crosby sounds like
she's been smoking too many cigars and drinking too much whiskey for the last 10 years. And she also specializes in the missing-white-girl-of-the-week.

16. Yeah, she's worse. Her voice sounds
like she's jumping out from behind a door to scare someone, and she has absolutely no tact.

17. Nancy always annoyed me
by her constant interrupting when her guests were talking....until Katrina hit. WHERE ARE THE FEDS? she kept angrily asking on her show. WHERE ARE THE FEDS? She was highly critical of FEMA - and tore the Bush administration a new one. I loved it. Later, she worked to help reunite hurricane victims who'd become separated from their families.

Nancy's a faithful Democrat and a good contributor. By the way, I've seen her up in arms over missing NON-white women (and men) too.
