Question about Boxer and her email.

First, of course, everybody is saying she called for impeachment when she did not. She inquired if John Dean was right to say that it is an impeachment offense. Of course, people cannot read.

What bothers me is that I dont get why is she not supporting Conyers in what he does rather than leading her own show? He is the one who can bring the articles of impeachment, not her.

I really don't understand why she brings in John Dean as she does - I understand the Watergate association, but I would assume that some of her peers may best Dean as Constitutional scholars. There's a few levels of "weasel wording" - 1) John Dean says and 2) Bush "may be". that they are ignoring. I wonder if not backing Conyers, who she may perceive is going too fast is another way to not be any farther out than she is comfortable with - as the farthest out Senator.

(Although I hate the bashing, I'm actually glad that they point out Kerry's qualifiers (rather than ignoring them) because I'm sure he puts them in because he wants them.
