Please blog this around and post it everywhere you go. I don't know what to do for these people. It's going to take a federal effort to help them and it just isn't there. Their homes are being foreclosed. Some of the companies who said they were going to defer their mortgage payments are now demanding lump sums. These people are going to be cleared out, the mortgage companies are going to sweep up the property, then after that's all done, the Bushies will come in with a mega-federal levy announcement to protect the corporate landgrab. It's sick. We are worth less to these people than I could ever have imagined, and I never thought we meant more than work horses to begin with.

Once again, we have to admit how powerful the media is. When they covered Katrina nonstop, * was shown as the uncaring incompetent that he is. But everyone's memories fade quickly, and * is back to 40% approval rating, and the media is once again ignoring the extreme harm his policies are having on people. I hope this rally gets play in the media but I'm not holding my breath. Pretty soon, they'll bore of Iraq (after the elections), and people will forget about the war, too, until some high profile violence erupts and the poor reporters will have to do some real journalism again, kicking and screaming.
