Kerry bogarts the limelight

There's a little kerfuffle inside the Democratic Senate caucus over John Kerry's insistance in being part of the official party response to Bush's hilarious "plan" in Iraq. Reid originally had designated Sen. Jack Reed to provide the official response. Reed did the "prebuttal" yesterday and had a press conference set up for today.

However, John Kerry stomped over Reed .....

Sigh.

I am supposed to be working on homework. I should've known better than to visit dkos.

Nothing could have been further from the truth. Anyone who watched the press conference would have noted how considerate the two senators were of each other. And I honestly thought (though I didn't watch with a stopwatch in hand :eyes:) that the time was divided pretty evenly between the two of them.

That was a great presentation. Reed and Kerry complimented each other's points. This came off very, very well.

BTW, where was Kos when that prison amendment passed? Did he notice. How about when Kerry's bill that is a real plan to end the war was filed. Did he notice? He is just a carping bastard.

Ted Kennedy has posted over there in the past. (Through one of his staffers - Crystal Patterson, iirc).

Could Mass people ask him to please just not do that anymore? (assuming he hasn't woke up to it already).

Or at least make sure he knows how harmful that site is.

I think his anger at Kerry has, in the end, little to do with Dean per se, and a lot to do with Kerry's primary win getting in the way of Kos's dream of making himself into the next Bob Shrum.

They seem willing to believe any thing Kos says even if it appears untrue. The last post even goes through the fact that Kerry released his records. They claim that if all these stellar recommendations even from some of the liars were available in summer 2004, the SBVT would have gone away.

The fact that they were on his web site and the media was given them was obviously not known to this genius and they certainly didn't stop the liars.

I can't post a response. I tried to get an id but never got a password maybe because "fanofKerry" wasn't a good name.

They seemed very respectful towards each other. On the Q&A it seemed the press who asked the questions to one or the other. I actually thought Kerry's answers were stronger.
