I'm getting the west card either tomorrow or Friday,

I'm going to send it to GinnyinWI. After that it has been suggested that Goldeneye in WI, and emulatorloo in Iowa might get it. But are we running out of time. I will sign and send out as soon as I get the card. What do folks think though. Who's next after Ginny?

After Ginny and whoever else in the Midwest gets it , someone needs to send it to Firespirit in MS. She is going to Boston so she can deliver the card to him in person, on his birthday. It really is a lovely card!

If I get it on Saturday, I won't be able to mail it out until Monday, because the mail gets delivered here well after the post office has closed for the day. So whoever wants it next, please PM me before Monday!

Ginny, should I drive it out to you? You're not that far for me to drive. Or do you think mailing would be better.

Driving would save time, but we wouldn't have a post mark for my town to add to the sheet that's going around with the card. What do you think?

6. well, we have two weeks, by my calculation

If I get it tomorrow, and I should if you mail it today, and I mail it out on Monday, and we have only one or two people left before going to Firespirit, it should make it with no problem. I think I would set the absolute deadline for mailing to Firespirit at one week before, say around the 3rd. Then it would be sure to make it by the 10th.

Maybe the other two aren't interested-- in which case I'd send it straight to Firespirit on Monday. Or maybe only one is interested.

If I don't get it until Monday, I can still get it to the post office that day probably, or the next morning for sure ( I get my mail in the afternoon).

That said, it would be nice to meet you in person sometime! Do you ever get to the Dem party meetings? I have only gotten to three this year, due to one thing and another.

I got alittle silly with my signage. I told him what my DU name is, but since it's a Clarkie name, I added my Kerrycrat name from Dailykos. And I said I loved him. With "don't tell the missus" in parenthesis.

He's gonna think I'm a nut.

I actually don't know if anyone wanted it after Ginny. I know Goldeneye is in WI and emulator is in IA but I can't remember if they were gonna sign it or not. If they don't speak up soon Ginny can just send it to Fire.

24. Ginny, I just got word from Goldeneye

She regrets to say that she doesn't have alot of time right now to deal with getting the card in and out. She didn't want to hold things up, so she said send directly to Firespirit.

I told her what I told Emeratoo (sp?:eyes:) which was that both of them could scan their signatures and send them to Tay Tay, and thus they will be included.

Or perhaps someone could volunteer to sign their screen names for them. I'm sure they'd appreciate being included in some way, shape or form, even if dealing with the card itself is too much right now.

So unless someone else pipes up, it looks like it's headed for Firespirit.

I even have that 'text' option on my camera. (If my son hasn't turned it blue! Grumble, grumble, grumble.) It worked real well when I took pics of signs in Scotland. (Well, I did. They were very interesting signs.)

oh god Tay Tay, I can totally relate to pictures of signs. How else to remember all the interesting little details, and signs are different from state to state so I can only imagine the different kinds of signs from country to country. Of course you took pictures of signs, what good wonk wouldn't??? :)

And There was this tavern sign on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Just had to have a pic. And the signs on the Scottish Parliament that I made my friend see. That was, ahm, a very interesting place with a very, very chatty guide. Loved him. I now know a lot of chatty things about the, ahm, Scottish Parliament. I don't quite know why I wanted this info, but I have it. (He didn't like Gorgeous George, btw.)

And the sign near the Holyrood Castle that simply read, 'Watergate.' (The cannongate, the watergate and the other gates that brought stuff into the city in older days. But I had to have that sign of the Watergate in Scotland. So that's where it came from, LOL!)
