1. Kerry is doing a fantastic job and Tweety is politely letting him talk
Edited on Thu Nov-17-05 05:40 PM by karynnj
He explained the IWR vote very well. He also said after the campaign he's not surprised by anything the administartion says. Asked why the war - mentioned DSM and surprise that it got little press, reason - PNAC (acronym not used - but that was what was described)

6. Kerry is better than I've ever seen him too
He's completely confident, seems very relaxed, very reasonable. He also is saying things like mentioning DSM and PNAC that most

Said America was not given the truth before the election. Tweety why now. Rep stonewalled WMD part2. He was first to tell about Tora Bora.

And I quit my job. Been a wild week all around.

I'll put it up soon. Just want to give something to other Kerrycrats. It is so good to have found a "home" where JK gets the respect and the admiration he deserves.

I'm gonna start a thread on your stuff.

38. Not a good thing I quit without having another job first.
I'm probably going to be homeless, but I was about to lose my mind! I worked at Wal-Mart. The company is the evil empire and I felt like I was selling my soul by being part of it. Tomorrow, I am out to look for a job. It would be nice to find something where I could use my brain instead of my back. (I used to have a decent job BB - Before Bush.) Wish me luck!

51. Good Luck!
I too work for a large corporation - a bank. You probably know who they are, they just invaded your city. They stand for everything that I am against. It's tough, and getting tougher. Do you know what its like to have to wait on a customer that is wearing a W shirt? Or have someone pull their wallet out of their purse, and their wallet has little GOP elephants all over it??? Or the time someone didn't know who they wrote a check to, and I pulled it up on the computer, and it was made out to The Heritage Foundation.

They used to be a nice company to work for once upon a time. Like 5 years ago. But all the little perks are gone. Stock options, raises, little gifts, co-workers! We do more with less & less & less. Ugh -

Hope you find something you can be proud of! Or you can always start your own Kerrycrat store.

52. From what I hear Wal-Mart was a decent company too until the old man
died. Sam Walton. Ah well, times change and greed takes over. It would be nice to get a job like I had before Bsh, but those are few and far between.

Online political stores don't make money. Too much competition. It is nice to keep the store name "president_kerry" out there. The shops are in all the search engines so the phrase "still love John Kerry" and a few others get out there. Search engine PR has been a pet project of mine. I'm sick of the crap that comes up when I put in "John Kerry" or any number of positive terms regarding our favorite senator. That site I mention on the Kerrycrat merchandise page does not get high traffic but everything you post there hits the searches almost immediately. I don't want to post the URL here because some haters might go there to trash JK. Please do post some Kerry love there.

8. Are we creating more terrorists?
Kerry quotes some of the generals saying that when a US soldier goes in to Muuslim home it's a cultural problem. Which is why Kerry wants Iraqis going into Iraqi homes.

Republican Resolution - many Republicans know major mistakes made.

Murtha - So much respect, love of military, imp statement - doesn't agree -talks about his plan Murtha feels respomsibility for the young soldiers

45. the difference between them
Kerry is saying, "here's how to do it right, and you guys better take my advice" (optimistic approach)

Murtha is saying, "these guys are never going to do it right, so I'm calling for an immediate withdrawal" (pessimistic approach to same dilema)

Kerry might privately agree with Murtha--they won't get it right--but he's trying to propose the answer anyway.

25. He was different with McCain.
It was less formal and more like two friends having a chat at times. He seemed to really like McCain as a buddy (I made a snarky comment in another thread about them going to start French kissing at any moment)but was deferential and respectful to Senator Kerry. I think the difference might have been that the interview was on Kerry's turf. Very smart decision on Senator Kerry's part. He got the home court advantage.

about the lefty trolls that come out everytime Kerry comes out strong. They can't stand that Kerry actually makes sense and they come rapidly to disrupt any positive conversation.

Everday lately more and more common sense DU'ers are taking them on for the whiners they are.

The naysayers know Kerry looked good very very good these last few days and it rains on their parade.

I just wish people would have seen this Kerry in 2004 - he was there.
What's nice is that he was totally straight forward and did not seem the least on the defensive. Given how both Bush and Cheney appear now, it's a nice contrast.

I could make a pretty awesome video if I ever figure it out.

31. Let me just add, the "out now people "will not be happy with Kerry,
but then they will never be happy with anyone who actually makes sense and wants to see the best outcome possible for this mess. Murtha is a wonderful person and I think he speaks, as Kerry said, out of emotion and I think he could be seen to go along with Kerry's plan. (IMO)The goal is the same for us all- bring our troops home, the best way is the problem. In this we should all be willing to compromise to achieve that ultimate goal.

34. Murtha is great, but his plan is not "home now""
It is out of Iraq and ready to go back in if necessary, as I understand it.

I think they should sit together and try to find a plan that includes both military and diplomatic. Given that Kerry advocates that the troops are not in the forefront, I think they are closer they think.

He has nothing negative to say about what's going wrong with the government. His war criticism is an easy cover for him to say he isn't in lockstep. Calling for more war doesn't upset the Bush plan at all.
