8. Murtha putting up a good fight on why we should leave NOW
The troops should be outside of Iraq.
Murtha is yelling at Wolf. The Iraqis want us out, the Americans want us out. Sooner not later.

Now bring up Kerry. Murtha's discrediting Kerry's plan. There are no benchmarks.
Murtha is saying we don;t have enough troops. Either add 500,000 troops now or leave.

Murtha is hot. He is being demanding.

You know who the duers are gonna like better....

They will.

14. So are you saying - bring in the draft?
I'd like to see him try.

Murtha is too extreme, great idea, but I don't think we can cut and run. I personally think that Kerry's plan will be the best of both worlds.

17. Kerry's is the best plan and is immediate enough
People will say soldiers are dying. But if we're in withdrawal mode, the casualties should drop.

19. Agreed! We owe it to the Iraqi citizens to leave some assemblance
of order there. And I like that Kerry has a plan.
Setting up benchmarks, setting up order.

If we just left, all chaos would break out. Just look at that prison they found.

Murtha's words. Murtha was good.

gonna have to wait for Kerry!

Dam - I think Kerry on Hardball and Kerry on Wolfie are going to overlap. What am I gonna do?

11. Brief Summary
Murtha essentially saying nothing is working and we aren't making progress and he says we should get out within 6 months. The army is broken.

Wolf says Kerry not in agreement with setting specific date. Wolf quotes Biden that if we leave too fast Iraq will be haven for terrorists.

Kerry interview at 7pm

Kerry said that the benchmarks should be linked to specific dates and enforced.

Forget Biden.

18. They played about 2 seconds of Kerry,
just saying 'I respectfully disagree with Rep Murtha. I have laid out a plan." there may have been a few words more - but I assume Kerry said more - Murtha incidently ignored the Kerry doesn't agree comment.

Now they're talking about a Draft Rudy movement. (At least it would show the hypocrisy of the religious right.) The decline in Bush popularity and Hillary's popularity may help him ?????? In spite of being pro-choice, pro gay rights positions.

They are insane.

20. Murtha plan's has a big problem.
He says: pull the troops outside of Iraq and keep them close so that they can come back if there is terrorism.

There will be terrorism. There is terrorism. You need to negotiate a political strategy.

I really wished that Dems sit around a table (at least those who want a withdrawal) and come with a workable solution, not shoot their plans separately and shoot them down.

32. Tweety caught McCain in a flip flop
McCain says that dissent is an Anerican right, but Tweety (pretending to be Russert) pulled up comments saying they could aid and abet the enemy.

Anarchy result of Murtha plan to withdraw - but he respects Murtha

Now talking about book - which Tweety says is like "Profiles in Courage"

Tells McCain that he is interesting and a hero

33. Warner on now - says his amendment signats
that Iraq needs to step up. Called Dem bill "cut and run" used the tired the dead will have died in vain. Murtha plan will send signal to enemy. His bill bi-partisan. Warner is talking about his trip with Stevens and how no military person said they should come home. I forget wasn't there a third SENATOR there taller, with silver hair. Weird that he talked like that.

Kerry is doing a fantastic job and Tweety is politely letting him talk
He explained the IWR vote very well. He also said after the campaign he's not surprised by anything the administartion says. Asked why the war - mentioned DSM and surprise that it got little press, reason - PNAC (acronym not used - but that was what was described)

He didn't let Wolf interrupt and had good clear answers. I think he took command of both interviews, this one and the one with Tweety. Oh and at the end--he wants to run again in the worst way! We want that too!

p.s. this whole issue has him on fire--and he's got the troops' backs. :) :) :)
