Anyone registered at HuffPo?
There are two commenters on this totally obnoxious anti-Kerry post who could use some support. If you feel like a fight, that is.

1. I use to be
But Arianna couldn't take what I said about her own political failures. So I got banned.

2. It's surely to your credit.
I thought I was registered - but it appears I'm not. Eh. Mostly the blog annoys me. But those two commenters belong in here.

3. That's awesome.
Also, these people are too whiny to argue with. They don't like the Senator because he doesn't make them feel good, and when someone very bravely credited him with restoring her patriotism, they said she was too young to know what she was talking about. Weak.

6. Young minds
I love them. She speaks from the heart, it is sad how those who are still whining over their primary losses have no compassion for anyone else who just do not agree with them. My 24 year old is one of those young minds who happen to catch Kerry on C-Span at a townhall meeting during the primaries, he won him over in just that one appearance. He said to me Mom he is looking to the future and with that you have to change some things from the past. Lessons learned, my son even wrote a song and Kerry although not mentioned, you can hear the words that caught hold to my son and other young people.

Many young people were inspired by John Kerry, like many young people were inspired by John Kennedy in my generation, inspiration like that never goes away.

7. Well, not being much older than your daughter
I can say you are absolutely right. Most of my friends my age who are political are political because of John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry.

11. Yep
I love Kerry. :) He and Teresa are great and would've made a great first couple. *sigh* If only. I didn't get into anything until after the primaries but I probably would've gone with Kerry I think. Either him or Dean. I like them both really well and they both have something great to offer our country in their own ways. I'm still such a Kerry tenniebopper though.

20. KJ
Read post #13 by Kerrygoddess, they don't allow many proKerry posts. They actually don't allow free speech. Several went over and posted and none of their post have shown up. She can talk all the negative she wants about Kerry but put something back that is truth and :nuke: your gone.

28. FedUp...
I hear ya. I think KG and Marjorie G attempted to post not long over there, will have to ask them what was the upshot, because I don't know if they got through.

All I know is AH came to the 'Ville last year and I had a chance to go cover her and declined. Even in an election year she was just too much for me to take. LOL

I love the folks fighting the good fight for Kerry. The integrity that he has is well developed in his supporters as well. He speaks truth to power without regard to the mainstream Dems embracing him (or what he has to say) and so do his supporters. What a lesson, though. We're still in the middle of it! 2006 to come, then the rest.

So, we pace ourselves and fight where it will do some good and  to the places and folks whose minds are closed. That's my philosophy. We have to stay positive, after all. ;-)

8. I wrote an impassioned comment (well, I've had a couple glasses of wine
tonight!), but it hasn't printed yet. I'm sorry but I am TIRED of these cranky liberals waiting for something that isn't there. You're not going to get better than John Kerry. I was especially annoyed with someone saying they knew him and found him "stuffy". You know, honey, did you give him half a chance? Maybe "stuffy" was really shy. I have an acquaintenance here who is quiet. He actually went to Iraq and when he got back I gave him a big hug and it was like hugging a stiff tree. But then I took a step back, and realized that he didn't know me so well, and just felt uncomfortable. The next time I saw him, I refrained from small talk, and just kept quiet. I waited until something relevant came to mind, and he actually warmed up to me. He is in special forces so maybe that's part of it, but if I had judged him on the first time I met him, I would have gotten him completely wrong. I may add that his daughter, who is 4, has already been referred to as "aloof". Alarm bells went off immediately for me. She's one of my daughter's best friends, and she's not aloof, just cautious. Damn, I hate labels. They're usually wrong.

9. Also, the media really programmed people to think ill of him.
AND sometimes integrity, honor, pride, and fear make anyone seem aloof.

I think my hubby is like JK. A little reserved but incredibly loyal and honest.

12. I wrote 3 impassioned comments
They haven't appeared yet.

John Kerry strikes me as a very shy person in some ways, and yet the behaviors that have always seemed like obvious shyness when I've seen him (e.g. when I saw his NAACP speech on TV last year, the first time I'd ever watched one of his speeches) are just the same behaviors that I'm sure would strike many people as aloofness. I don't know why it seems so obvious to me that he's shy, but it does. And many people who know him personally -- like Teddy Kennedy -- say that that's exactly what it is, too.

When the people in the audience are obviously happy to see him, he seems delighted and slightly dazed, like "Wow, they like me!" And then he doesn't seem the slightest bit aloof. I don't know how anyone who's seen him happily shaking hands at a rally, grinning from ear to ear and almost lunging into the crowd, could ever apply the word "aloof" to him at all.

21. not "shy" in a negative sense,though
Some shy people are afraid of people because they are too sensitive about what they might think.
I'd rather call it "introverted". A person who is self-contained, and doesn't need others to constantly reinforce him, because he has a strong inner core from which he draws his confidence. A person who is thoughtful and not easily swayed by other people out of wanting to please them and gain self-esteem from some outside source. A person with this kind of inner strength can become a natural leader, because he knows what he believes in and isn't easily corrupted. He can still love being around other people, as JK obviously does. But he is also quite able to stand alone.
I think Abraham Lincoln was this type of person, too.

13. They are really bad about posting pro-Kerry comments
I called and spoke the editor about it after Tom Hayden's first post about JK's Georgetown speech and Iraq plan. I just posted two comments. If they don't get posted I will call him tomorrow.

15. Oh really
So they only let post go up that they like. That is so wrong, to let people think that very few people even like Kerry.

This really pisses me off, its like being hung up on if you call a Conservative talk show or even worse being told to shut up by O'Liely. This is not right, so Ariana doesn't believe in free speech unless it mainly agrees with her. :grr:

19. Holy toledo -- I just checked and my comment STILL hasn't posted!!
You know, we may be annoyed with Kos or DU and the annoying posters, but at least all voices are heard. Huffington doesn't believe in free speech. My comment was impassioned -- the only "attack" in my post was referring to some of the people as cynical liberals. Pretty mild, right?

And now I see comments on there posted this morning, so obviously they're not going to post my comments. I will no longer visit that site, and rely on you guys if they have something favorable about Kerry on it.

27. My 3 comments haven't appeared yet either
And I put them in last night. *Maybe* people who are "trusted users" get their comments put up automatically while the new people wait for moderation, and the moderators are off for the weekend -- that could explain why other comments are up and ours aren't. (Mine definitely weren't foul or abusive.) Or maybe it's just anti-Kerry censorship. It's definitely not good.

25. From the thread...
Kerry speaks to NO ONE when he opens his mouth, even if some think they are hearing him. Hillary Clinton is just as bad, and more of a hawk about the Iraq situation. Look at their facial expressions and body language.

Methinks "Donna" should stop absorbing so much of Cosmo's tips on body language.
They're mainly good for gloating over celebrity couples you hate that are breaking up. And little else.

Very disappointed, too, if this is true about Arianna. Didn't know she had to personally approve every post. She must REALLY hate Kerry if she wants to go to that length to scrub him from her mind and her website.

Nothing else that I can seen though.
