Kerry NJ email
I'm posting this because it shows what he's doing for GOTV. Note at the bottom that it's paid for by Corzine and the link (to precincts) leads to Corzine Connection. So obviously Kerry is essentially letting Corzine use his list while keeping it branded as Kerry and including a Kerry message. (and of course keeping it exclusively his list).

NL still needs to work on the precinct information - it works smoothly - but it's ultimately useless. I put in my information and it returned a well formated list giving me a list like this:

Precinct 1
(address)
Precinct 2
(address)

The problem is there are likely people who don't know there precinct. The data and programming needed to allow you to enter an address and have it map it to precinct and return the precinct and the address. This is mostly a very minor quibble because anyone in my geographically large township could go to the nearest address and be correct most of the time and if they are wrong they will be correctly redirected.

Posted because it may be what he offers to do elsewhere.

1. Here's the Virginia one
Dear Carol,

We've got one day to go. We cannot afford to leave one vote behind.

You know what's at stake tomorrow. It's a choice between a candidate, Tim Kaine, who has fought every day for progress over the last four years and a candidate, Jerry Kilgore, who stood in the way. It's a choice between hope and inclusiveness and division and despair.

Don't let someone else make that choice for you by sitting on the sidelines. Today and tomorrow, please join thousands of your fellow Virginians by talking to your neighbors, calling your friends and family, forwarding this email, and encouraging everyone you know to make Tim Kaine the next Governor of Virginia, Leslie Byrne the next Lieutenant Governor, and Creigh Deeds the next Attorney General. And most importantly, please be sure to vote tomorrow.

We have an incredible opportunity during this election to turn the political tide in America. The recent events in Washington -- mismanagement, indictments, division -- stand in such stark contrast to everything that's happened under Tim Kaine as Lieutenant Governor in Virginia: record investments in schools, stunning job growth, and sterling management. Now, it's time we let the entire country know that Virginia rejects the politics of fear and division and the bankrupt philosophy that Hurricane Katrina laid bare.

We will set the tone for 2006 and 2008 in the next 36 hours. All the hard work will pay off when Tim Kaine wins on November 8th. And when Democrats are celebrating big victories in 2006 and 2008, you'll have the satisfaction of saying something very important: it all started here.

Now let's go out and do it.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

P.S. Don't forget to vote tomorrow! Find your polling place here

Paid for by Victory 2005 and authorized by Tim Kaine, candidate for Governor;
Leslie Byrne, candidate for Lt. Governor;
and Creigh Deeds, candidate for Attorney General

2. Here's the NJ one. I am brain dead, I "copied" it but forgot to "paste it

Here it is:

Dear xxxxx

We've got one day to go. We cannot afford to leave any effort on the table.

You know what's at stake tomorrow. It's a choice for Jon Corzine -- a proven leader who understands government should solve problems, not create them. Or it's a choice for a Republican Party infected with corruption, dishonesty, incompetence, and a shocking failure to address the problems that keep Americans up at night.

Don't let someone else make that choice for you by sitting on the sidelines Today and tomorrow, please join thousands of your fellow New Jerseyans by talking to your neighbors, calling your friends and family, forwarding this email, and encouraging everyone you know to make Jon Corzine the next Governor of New Jersey. And most importantly, please be sure to vote tomorrow.

Find your polling place here

We have an incredible opportunity to turn the political tide in America. The Republican Party has been exposed. People understand that Republican leaders in Washington aren't working for them. People get that the misplaced priorities of the Republican Party are making them worse off in their everyday lives. Now, we have to hold Republicans accountable when it counts most: on Election Day.

We will set the tone for 2006 and 2008 in the next 36 hours. All the hard work will pay off when Jon Corzine leads New Jersey to new heights. And when Democrats are celebrating big victories in 2006 and 2008, you'll have the satisfaction of saying something very important: it all started here.

Now let's go out and do it.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

--------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like he not only tailored it for the candidate - but the NJ one is harder on Bush - which makes sense.

3. This is so important.
I was amazed last year when I worked as a poll watcher, how many people do not know where they are supposed to vote.

After I voted today, some guy in the parking lot asked me where to go to vote (I hope he was new to the neighborhood. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt).

A guy at the gym didn't know it was election day.

Many don't know the hours polling locations are open.

How do we get the word out better about the logistics of voting?

I think a lot of people don't vote because they don't know the basics. When, where, how.

Maybe an ad at the end of Survivor or CSI Miami? I don't know how else to get their attention.
