1. Nor should you.
Have at 'em. Arguing sharpens your mental acuity and deepens your argument and knowledge. Have at 'em.

2. You should not ignore them,
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 03:19 PM by Mass
Some people are spreading lies or pushing useless questions just to dismiss the idea that he could run in 08.

They are very afraid at this idea, for whatever reason.

4. We just persevere....always correct lies and RW spin with the FACTS and
everything will work out in the end.

Every opportunity to repeat the TRUTH can be used in positive ways that will REALLY piss off the ones who are here to harm Dems.

6. Well, Lieberman gets it pretty heavy. Some folks here LOATHE Clark.
And Hillary isn't doing so hot.

But, it does seem to be that the RW talking points and media talking points are used most against Kerry.

7. well, leiberman doesn't vote like a dem. I can understand that.
And Hilary's latest talking points may as well be coming from Bush's mouth!

But Kerry is up there FIGHTING instead of crawling back to a cave and I think they HATE that!

8. They hate Kerry because deep down in their petty little hearts
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 05:28 PM by Island Blue
they KNOW he has a great shot at being the nominee in '08 and for whatever reason, that really freaks them out. Couple that with the fact that they've never bothered to learn anything about JK, and you've got yourselves a group of people who spew RW talking points about a fellow Democrat (at least we ASSUME these people are Democrats) just because they can.

(I am aware by the way of what happens when you "assume" anything, but what the hell, it's Monday so I'll throw caution to the wind.)

21. Some may just be afraid of being hurt again
Kerry engendered trust and hope. One thing he said often and very sincerely was that we would win. Now, it would be pretty dumb to say or suggest that you might lose, but it sounded very believable when he said it. Their reaction seems intensely immature.

Having just watched the energy subsidy conference from yesterday, I'm convinced that side by side, Kerry blows the others away. Of the 3 Senators, Kerry was by far the best - especially when he made a plea at the end for Bush to make this non-partisan and ask the Rep leadership to do it. I've seen Hillary be much better, but she didn't seem to connect much at all on this. She was probably the least convincing of the group.

When answering the press questions, he seemed so Presidential, open and respectful. I think if he does run, the others will find him harder to beat than they expected at the first debate they have.

12. Because Kerry is the one they really have to worry about
The RW is still frightened to death of him.

(And let's face it, Joementum is just fair game.) :D

9. Neither will I
I always make a point of checking out GD. If someone is lying, and I'm in a fighting mood, I WILL call them on their shit. I feel like I owe it to Kerry.

10. Nor is it being suggested you do, I think
You just can't shout "Counterattack" and call in the troops.

Alert, counterpost, alert some more, counterpost some more, PM a couple of us for reinforcements. Stuff like that.

11. What I think is that any appearances that the Kerry Group
has engaged in some kind of coordinated counterattack was suggested by those wishing to silence Kerry support in the same manner as the reverse-reality smearing of the SBVs.

But that's just my opinion, and I'm not referring to anything in particular. And I won't be referring to anything in particular from now on, in KG or by PM, because I respect the rules of the site. I'm not even debating the merit of the rule. I don't want to give the moderators any grief; their job is hard enough.

I just want to affirm that anyone whose goal was to silence Kerry support will be disappointed, because now I will have to hold my nose and read GD even more diligently.

14. BS Smears of any good Democrat should be challenged
Alerted on, argued with, and challenged.

No matter the status of those making said smears.

15. Aye. That's why I will stand up for Clark, Dean and anyone else
Partisan primary rhetoric has no place now in a party we're trying to rebuild.

17. Yes, and that's key
I see Kerrycrats out there in the trenches all the time defending anyone who is having shit flung at them. And I don't think I've ever seen Kerrycrats flinging shit at other Dems.

I think Kerry inspires a certain code of honor in those who admire him.

Kerry attracts people with high ideals, and I think he inspires his supporters to raise the tone of political discussion.

all our battles we have all come to respect the truth more than any idealistic view.
