Bush Lifted Wage Laws In Hurricane Areas
Not Kerry related, yet. I suspect he's going to blow a gasket, I can't even believe this shit. I am so mad I am shaking.

Did you guys also see the report that they AREN'T FEEDING THE TROOPS AND COPS!!!! My son was a wildland firefighter and setting up hot meals, showers, etc., is NO BIG DEAL. New Orleans has a volunteer group down there to cook for these guys, they just showed up to do something and found that nobody was cooking for them. I am just livid at all of this, you think it's getting better and it just continues to spiral downward.

"At a time when the ramification of low wages and poverty has been made abundantly clear, the Bush Administration STILL doesn’t get it. Nancy Pelosi was exactly right, this man is oblivious which makes him dangerous. Well I already knew that and I suspect Nancy did too, but this just makes it crystal clear. I am stunned. I wasn’t too sure that this was the time for Bushville, but I am now. This man is a monster.

Bush lifts wage rules for Katrina
President signs executive order allowing contractors to pay below prevailing wage in affected areas.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush issued an executive order Thursday allowing federal contractors rebuilding in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to pay below the prevailing wage.

In a notice to Congress, Bush said the hurricane had caused "a national emergency" that permits him to take such action under the 1931 Davis-Bacon Act in ravaged areas of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi…

"President Bush should immediately realize the colossal mistake he has made in signing this order and rescind it and ensure that America puts its people back to work in the wake of Katrina at wages that will get them and their families back on their feet," Miller said…

One of the things the American people are very concerned about is shabby work and that certainly is true about the families whose houses are going to be rebuilt and buildings that are going to be restored," Kennedy said…”

1. Why does Bush want the US to be a third world country
I am absolutely shocked at this - How incompetent can they get - it can't be that hard to feed these people. If he wants to re-establish the NO economy giving good paying jobs to local workers is probably one of the easiest best ways. I bet he didn't skimp om Halliburton's profit margin. This is unconscionable.

2. Carnival Cruiseline, $32,000 PER PERSON
By my calculation, that's what they were prepared to pay Carnival to house people. 6-8,000 people for $192 million. Using the 6,000 figure, that's $32,000 per person, right?? We can do that oh hell yes, but they have a shitfit over the $2,000 FEMA cards and now cut wages on top of it. I swear to god I just want to strangle somebody right now.

3. New words need to be invented to describe this administration*
There are no words currently in the English language vile enough to do that sufficiently. So basically, he wants the ravaged areas to be rebuilt using slave labor. Am I correct my understanding? There is a lot of latitude in "below the prevailing wage" and you know damn good and well that whoever this administration* hires to do the job will take full advantage of the "below" part of that phrase. G*ddamnguckertfuckingshitheadassholes!

As far as troops and cops not receiving hot meals, if we can't take of these folks "over here", how the fuck are we supposed to take care of them when they are fighting make believe enemies, or heaven forbid some real enemy "over there"? The incompetence is just mind boggling. Every single person who voted for Idiot Son shares in the blame for this. Every single one of them.
