2. Actually, this gave me comfort
As silly as it is, it has been good to forget these awful images for a moment.

3. That's nuts over there!
I think to a lot of DUers, the best Democratic leader, is an unemployed Democratic leader. Once you are actually elected to office, forget you - you're worthless and weak.

(BTW, I'm not suggesting that Clark and Edwards are unemployed, just that they're not currently holding elected office.)

4. Thanks. One of my best rants ever.
I think I'll save it here just in case. And maybe it'll be easier to find when I need to post it again.

Uh, no. There were plenty of opportunities to go

door-to-door talking to people to get them to vote for Kerry. You are clearly interested / involved in politics - why else would you read and post at DU? Yet apparently, by your comment, you did not bother to work for the Kerry campaign last year, to help throw Bush out of office. Not only that, you didn't even go to his website and read his position statements. You did not check out Project Vote-Smart or On The Issues. Or the League of Conservation Voters, or any one of many organizations that covered his positions in detail - which really doesn't take a whole lot, because some one who has fought for the environment, for veterans, for small business against big corporations, and against corrruption his entire career really does not take all that much explaining.

Yes, apparently you had internet access but you did not use it to find out about the Democratic Party Presidential nominee, and now you claim that his campaign was "weak" and "lame" - because YOU didn't bother to become an informed citizen, and inform others.

Who was it again that is "part of the problem"?

(that last refers to a post down below...)

This was in response to someone who said they couldn't remember anything Kerry was going to do if elected, and complained that Kerry's positions were too hard to understand.

Sigh.

11. I don't blame you
I see nothing wrong with it, you call someone out for their remarks and you get deleted. I thought Dems stood for truth, but when the truth and facts are stated to the bashers its always the coherent responses that get deleted. But oh lets leave all the ' he's a spineless bastard, he's a prick etc. etc. The hate and bigotry in some of these posts make me sick, and IMO should be removed immediately whoever the Dem is.

What the hell is so wrong with defending someone who is not here to defend himself. What would happen if we posted some of the slime posts about Dean or Clark, would they be removed, YES, and the slime stays up for Kerry. Where is the logic to that and who is really pushing certain candidates and letting others be trashed to no end ?

This boggles my mind .

8. That one unglued me
I think I lost it a bit. I rarely try to call some one a coward anymore as it can be taken the wrong way. (LOL!)

Then I logged off of DU for a while and tried to get away. Sigh!

I'll try again soon.
