Okay, I got a vote question

Sen. Kerry voted to continue funding for Radio/TV Marti yesterday. This is a dud of a program that aims TV signlas into Cuba that are blocked, air from 3:30 AM to 8:30 AM and that no one has been found to have ever watched, cuz it's jammed. WTF?:wtf:

Also, Sen. Kerry voted for that loan for China to develop a Nuke plant. (So did every Dem who wants to run for Prez in '08.) Ahm, why are we guarnateeing money for China. I thought they had all our money? WTF?:wtf:

1. No surprise for the Dorgan amendment (TVMarti).

Kerry has always supported that, and I would imagine it has to do with elections and Florida.

The real question is about the Boxer/Coburn amendment. I had the same question yesterday. And he was not the only one (Lautenberg and Corzine. who are fairly liberal too, voted againt this amendment. I am not sure, but I think the issue is that they wanted the contract to go to the US (for whatever reason: reduce the trade deficit with China, for example) and that whoever will get this contract will have to make the loan. Still, I hope the contract will bring more than "5000 jobs in Pennsylvania").

BTW, Clinton and Bayh voted for the amendment and against the loan, not for.

If somebody has an explanation, I'd like to hear it.

(I was mad at Kerry yesterday because of that).
