3. Even in the Massachusetts forum

I can't escape the Kerry attacks in the MA forum, or even on the site that came out of his old forum. Everywhere in liberal-land, Kerry is getting attacked. ARGH!!!! x( :grr: :puke:

5. I think the MA forum

is the worst. That's where you get all that phony "I love him as a senator, but..." and the disgusting I live in MA, and I've never liked him..." crap.

The only thing I can say, and it's what brings me the most comfort, is remember November 2003. Dean leading in the polls, every f***ing morning wake up to the same f***ing news report: "Kerry down to Dean by double digits in NH..."

But Kerry kept on. (My personal proudest moment was giving him $100 when he mortgaged his house.) And yet he won.

What Kos and all those grousing lefty freepers don't get is that they are a teeny tiny, self-deluded minority. They represent themselves, and no one else. Kos has a huge ego, but he got NOTHING right. Maybe that's made him bitter, but it hasn't made him smart. It's a point of pride with him that he doesn't understand Kerry. That's not a plus for someone who wants to have an impact on politics.

There's a reason why Kerry won all those elections in MA, and it has relatively little to do with his liberal cred. It has to do with the way he interacts with people, with his dignity and intelligence. He's a man of substance and he keeps to the high moral ground.

Nothing pisses me off more than hearing someone wail about how he's lost the young man he was in 1971. What a pile of crap. Every time he speaks now I hear that young man. He did get a little submerged in senate-speak vefore the campaign, but he's back out there now. My favorite part of the Rick Klein Globe article was hearing that he's gone back to using "No Surrender." It is his perfect theme song.
