Kerry hasn't done anything? Nothing of his has been passed recently? Let me guess why? Because we're the goddamn minority party. We have no power. We can't pass all the bills we want. We're having a hard time defending important issues as it is. Don't get me wrong, our Senators have been doing a great job but they can only do so much. Sheer willpower alone won't get the Republicans to vote with us. Can't people get this through their thick skulls? Damn it!

they think they aren't but you can tell from certain arguments they make and words used. you can especially see it in the threads on immigration, affirmative action etc.

I'll add something that's been bugging me and which I've heard no one say anything about (probably because it's so OBVIOUS).

The rethug talking point about judicial nominees. Arrrrrgggggghhhh.
They blink their innocent eyes and say, "We're just asking for a simple up or down vote on the president's nominees. Is that so much to ask?"

Why is it I have heard, ummm, let's say, ZERO reporters say back to them, "Well, duh. You have the majority. Of course you just want a simple up or down vote."

A tad disingenuous, wouldn't you say?
