2. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
Looks like it really went well. I agree with you 100% he should be the President. Just look at the 6th picture down, talk about compassionate. Tears are welling up here.

So tell us more, how large was the crowd, how was he received, etc.

5. Yes, it went really well! I am amazed these forums aren't on
every TV channel, every day. Then again, I realize the corporate media is working for George Bush.

There were about 200. Every seat was filled and yet it felt like a nice intimate gathering. I think he could make eye contact with everyone there as we were only about five rows deep in a square.

After we heard from about 10 individuals, and his own comments, he encouraged us to stay "mad," get to work, and do what Wellstone would do: go door-to-door, block by block and tell people what they aren't hearing on the news.

He was interrupted frequently by loud applause. Many, many people wore their Kerry gear. Three college students wore "Bush Lied" t-shirts but everyone else was dressed professionally and I think many came from work. As I mentioned, there were a lot of health care people and so there were a fair amount of people in scrubs, too.

I'm still overwhelmed by it.

When I went up to shake his hand and say "thank you," it took all my strength to keep from breaking into tears.

Man, I am really feeling what we lost right now! It's like November 3 all over again.

7. Been there, still hurting
Especially since this is the 6 month anniversary of what we didn't ever want to happen. Sigh!

On the other hand, take comfort in that fact that Kerry is still fighting. A lot of people would have folded and gone away. I saw Kerry in Boston 3 weeks ago, we have other folks here who have recently seen him in Austin, TX and in LA. Obvsiously, we are sad, but pleased beyond the telling that the fight is still there.

you tell me, was the fight still there? That's what makes it both sad and hopeful.

10. I would say the fight is still there!
And you're right. He could have just gone away from the national scene, continue to be the senator from Massachusetts and not take on so many battles. The way I see it, he's in the thick of it on many fronts.

It was good to see him again.
