What the hell is up with Clinton?
I don't know if you guys see it or not but WTF is it with him giving Chimp a pass all the time? WTF is up with him taking up for Chimp when clearly Chimp is in the wrong here about how he handled the Tsunami disaster? I seen him on C-Span telling reporters that Chimp was doing a good job and about some other shit being Chimps ideas and and he was the one who deserved credit. I didn't hear the whole thing but what I did hear was total bullshit! WTF is up with the Chimp ass kissing? This shit is sickening as well as ridiculous! First that dumbass remark at his library opening about is he the only one in America that likes both Chimp and and John Kerry. I LMAO when I heard that and my answer to Clinton on that is FUCK YES! Because this Democrat will never back the corruptive evil asswipes that are occupiers at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. All I got to say is Thank God Jimmy Carter has the balls not to kiss these bastards ass and give them a free pass.

2. his focus is on trying to get help to the victims
and Clinton kicked Chimp's ass at the library opening when he gave his speech on how he worked with other nations to make things better in the world. it was a total slap in the face at the Chimp since the current events are total opposite of the positive that went on under Clinton's administration.

3. I respectfully disagree with you
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 05:50 PM by angrydemocrat
When he made that dumbass remark that was a slap to Kerry not Bush and I no many many others who agree with me know that one. First off their was no call for that dumbass remark to start with. That remark had nothing to do with his acheivments or the opening of his library. So I along with others I know disagree with you there. And next there is nothing wrong with him trying to help the victims and I respect the man for that and he did act a hell of alot more presidential than chimp did. But kissing chimps ass and giving him a free pass for half ass doing his job is another. Hell he can help the victims without kissing Chimps ass while he does it. Jimmy Carter is a champion on these kinds of issues but I would be willing to bet money on it you will not see him give a free pass to a dumbass that was to sorry to get off his ass and do his job when he should have. And you won't see him make a dumbass remark like Clinton and you won't see him kiss Chimp's ass for any damn reason.

8. different things
the comment about him liking both Kerry and Bush were one thing.

and he also went into a speech about his administration and that WAS a slap in the face to Bush.

the comments about him liking Kerry and Bush is typical Clinton politics where he takes the focus off of the people and onto the issues. Clinton was successful because he was always able to bring things back to the issues that matter no matter what his personal flaws were.

11. Clinton Was Successful Because
Of other Democrats like Kerry backing him and fighting for him! Had it not been for the other Democrats like Kerry fighting and backing him Clinton wouldn't Have had a pot to piss in. Look at how many times the other Democrats saved his ass. Go to the biography post and read the one about Kerry coming to Clinton's rescue. It happen more than once. And alot of other Democrats helped him to but Kerry was one of the key players.

And him talking about his administration at the library was to be expected and welcomed. His DUMBASS remark about was he the only American that liked Chimp and Kerry both were NOT! It pissed off many. And Fuck no I don't like or will I ever support the illiterate dumbass that is a damn occupier of the White House. The damn remark he made was stupid, uncalled for, and a slap to the face to Kerry.
And as I said it pissed off many Americans just like me. I just happen to be one of those who have come to the point I say what I got to say and I tell how I feel and don't give a damn who it pisses off when I do. Because I am sick of the lies, dumbass remarks, backstabbing, and slandering of Kerry. He deserves better than that he is a man who has fought all his for this country and the American people unlike alot of those who have lied, backstabbed, slandered and made dumbass remarks! Including CLINTON.

12. Clinton supported Kerry also
although Kerry's support for Clinton was very important because of the circumstances involved.

but Clinton always backed Kerry. what he said after the election was not a slap in the face of Kerry. it was one of those things he often says. why use such a thing against Clinton ? it's like when other democrats attack Kerry for stupid things like skull and bones or because he said something to try to appeal to non democratic/liberal voters. they start claiming he is a sell out or traitor or whatever else.

and Clinton gave one of the best speeches in support of Kerry for President. i never understood why they didn't use the "Send Me" Speech as a theme for the campaign. it would have been a great one. Clinton not only brought up Kerry's military service, but he brought up the community building work he did for poor people. he said how only Kerry was willing to go and said "send me". the same for other things he did.

13. You Can Believe It Wasn't A Slap To The Face If You Want
Edited on Tue Jan-04-05 02:28 PM by angrydemocrat
But as I said to me and many other Americans it WAS! Yes Clinton supported Kerry during the campaign nobody said he didn't. But I will say he should have especially after all Kerry did for him. And again Clinton wouldn't have been shit without Democrats like Kerry backing him and saving his ass more times than one. But everything that I'm talking about happen after the campaign not during or before. There was no reason what so ever and I mean none for that dumbass remark Clinton made at the library opening. Did it have any thing to do with his achievements? NO. Did it have anything to do with the library? NO. All the hell it was, was a slap in the face to a man sitting in the audience after a devastating loss and for that matter alot of his supporters. And I sure as hell am not the only one that feels that way.

And now with him kissing Chimps ass the way he is I guess you think people don't have the right to say how they view that issue either since it's poor Clinton. And people shouldn't express that that he pissed them off by saying to Kerry's supporters to get over it and quit whining because Chimp won fair and square. Bullshit! First off who in the hell is he to tell me or any damn body to get over anything after all the hell he has done himself. And people like me supported him all the way and fought for his ass as well. After all that is happen and all that these people did for him he decides it's his job to tell them to shut up and move on. I don't think so. And I will say he needs to learn to keep his damn mouth shut unless he has something positive to say to Kerry supporter's who by the way supported his ass to but apparently the man has had a major brain fart and forgot that little fact of the matter!

And Yes I supported Clinton, voted for both times, have had many damn arguments with people trying to slander him as well. But by hell he is in the wrong for the shit he has said and now knowing the uphill battle democrats face and are all trying to prove to those who supported Chimp that hey look you made a mistake in supporting him, and trying to bring down chimp and his evil empire down, and what the fuck does good ole Clinton do but go running kissing Chimps ass and give the bastard a free pass. Not that was very fuckin smart and very supportive to democrats as well now wasn't it. BULLSHIT!!

4. I think -
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 07:32 PM by paulk
We need to realize that when Bush fucks up it damages not only him, it damages our country. Bush has given our country a real black eye over his handling of the tsunami - and if Clinton can help our country's good name, I'm all for it.

Clinton is liked and respected in SE Asia a hell of a lot more than Bush is - I know this to be true - I've been to that part of the world several times in the last eight years - and the people over there do know that Bill Clinton is not George Bush and doesn't speak for him.

5. Noboby Is Saying Clinton Isn't Respected
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 08:37 PM by angrydemocrat
And I for one do realize what the iliterate dumbass that is a occupier at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave does gives this damages our whole country and the bastard has given this country many black eyes. And that is precisly the point when in the hell are the people of this country suppose to stand up and say enough is enough? When in the hell are we to suppose to point out the failures of this bastard? And yes the people there know that Clinton isn't Bush and doesn't speak for him. But he doesn't speak for all Americans either. Americans have a voice, Americans need to be heard, and by hell we are to the point in this country it is speak now or forever hold your peace. And we have the right to point failures of the evil empire that is destroying our country. And there has been many Democrats speak out about Chimp not doing his damn job and then Clinton decides to kiss chimps ass and give democrats another damn slap to the face. Yet nobody should question it or say anything because it was Clinton? Bullshit.

Let me say this when Clinton was down the democrats sure as hell didn't give him another slap to the face. As a matter of fact they fought for him. Nobody is against helping the relief efforts or saying he isn't respected in Southeast Asia, but we are talking about him giving democrats another slap in the face by kissing chimps ass and saying that chimp did his job right and effectively which is total fuckin bullshit! He did not do his job right and effectively and democrats have spoken about this only to have the one they pick up off the damn floor and help to slap them in the damn face. And you gon't have to kiss chimps ass to be a part off this and help out. You sure as hell don't see Jimmy Carter doing kissing their ass do you. And him giving democrats another slap in the damn face does not help the people in Asia and it sure as hell doesn't help us. Again he didn't have to kiss ass to be a part of this and help out ask Jimmy Carter who is a champion on these issues.

And if we are going to restore respect and honor to this country at home and the rest of the world we will have to destroy the evil empire that is running it. And we sure as hell won't do it by giving them a slap on the wrist and kissing their ass when they screw up.

6. Have to say I agree.
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 08:27 PM by whometense
I'm not one of the world's biggest Clinton fans, but stood by him all through his presidency. That said, the comment he made at the library opening had me yelling, "FUCK YEAH! at my tv as well.

Again and again and again the BFEE swagger around smacking dems upside the head. It pisses me off to see Clinton being so cooperative. But he is if anything a narcissist, and I guess what do we expect? He's gotta have the love and attention.

9. No your not. You can see me ranting on some other threads.
I was really jumped by some of those dip shits in the Results forum for saying I no longer respect Clinton. And I DON"T. Something is wrong here. First the accolades to Bush after 9-11 then the remarks at the library, then telling Dems to "stop whining" they lost, now saying "Bush won fair and square'? It proves my point that a centrist DLCer can't be trusted. They are reuke lite. And I used to love Clinton. I was a mesmerized idiot, but he was still better than the alternative. The DLC aren't happy with Kerry at the moment. He didn't vote their way on omnibus and several other measures and they don't want this election contested. The timing on this is suspicious too. This is too close to Dec.6th. It is like a message being sent. I hope the Senators ditch the DLC and stand up to contest. It will be our last chance for election reform!

10. You're very welcome,
and you're absolutely right. It made me feel physically ill (like just about everything else on tv news these days) to see him standing there with *I and *II. Gag.

And since this is the Kerry forum I can also say this: Clinton's way too smooth for me. I prefer Kerry's (okay, occasionally fumbling) honesty any day.

14. I'm not sure what to think
Obviously, Clinton as a president was 1,000,000 times preferable to any Republican in recent history. I always liked Clinton, I think he's an intelligent and capable man. But I've been have mixed feelings about him of late. Whoever said that he seemed too slick I think hit it on the head. There's something about Clinton that's too smooth, too suave, too "charming" for me. He's an example of a great politician - someone who knows how to play the games and work the various players for his advantage.

Kerry, in all honesty, is not a good politician in the sense that a good politician is good at schmoozing, bullshitting, and kissing ass. I think part of why I love him so much is that he seems so overwhelmingly real and genuine to me. Sometimes he stumbles over his words, or can't decide how best to express himself; sometimes he's naive and underestimates the corruption of his opponents; sometimes he's too introspective and too self-critical; sometimes he gets pissed and won't play the games that the machine wants him to play, so he falls out of favor with the media and even his own party. All of these things make him a not so great politician, but they make him an exemplery public servant, and a great man. I think that's part of why I love him so much - he's not such a good politician, but he's a terrific public servant. He's the kind of guy that SHOULD be running politics, but sadly, because of his integrity and honesty and unwillingness to play the tawdry games, he has a ways to go before he can overcome the system that is rigged against people like him.

So while Clinton is the far better politician, I believe John Kerry is a vastly better man. I also laughed upon hearing Clinton's comment about Bush and Kerry both wanting the best for this country; I am quite sure he's one of the few who actually believes that. I'm not sure I thought the comment was meant insultingly at Kerry as such, but I do think it was unnecessary pandering to Dubya, which Clinton, as a popular ex-president, certainly doesn't need to do. Clinton has seemed to be giving Bush a break for many things on which a break is not deserved, and that bothers me a lot. Democrats need to unite as a strong opposition party against Bush and the neocons, and Kerry needs the help of the centrist DLC types such as Clinton to present a united front. Clinton carries a lot of weight with moderates in this country, and thus the middle of the road people, if they see Clinton apologizing for and standing up for Bush, might be more inclined to see resistance against Bush as a far-left radical movement, instead of the mainstream resentment that we all know it is. That above all pisses me off about Clinton's apologetics. I have chosen to look to John Kerry as a political leader, but there's no denying Clinton has inestimable clout. Clout which he should use to our advantage.

Something about it rather reeks to me. I'm not sure if he's trying to marginalize Kerry to clear the way for Hillary in '08, or if he's just becoming more of a centrist DLC Repuke-lite sellout in his old age, or what, but it does bother me. If he wants to retain any credibility with liberal Democrats in this country, he'd better speak out about the crimes of the Bush Administration, and speak out fast. Because while I will stand alone with John Kerry and my fellow Kerrycrats at the gates of hell to fight the evil of the Bush Junta, it would be nice if we had some reinforcements. I guess we'll see what the rest of the party is made of come these next few months. I will stand alone with John Kerry if I have to, but I certainly hope it doesn't come to that.
