Kerry-Edwards signs Reappearing in my town
I was on my way to work yesterday in my small town of like 5,000 and I have noticed many different Kerry-Edwards signs up again. So I plan to put mine back up.

Also since the town I live in is the hub of two states (Indiana&Ohio)
someone posted a support Kerry 08 sticker on the sign that says welcome to Ohio, so I plan to do the same thing to the sign right across from me that says welcome to Indiana.

1. Bumper stickers
Obviously it's not a scientific sample, but I get the feeling lately that there are more Kerry bumper stickers now than in the post-election period.

4. It's definitely at the very least a quick way to say ...
I'm not down with the Bush agenda.

Cool.

2. Wow.
Cool. I still see a ton of bumper stickers, but since I live in MA, I don't know if that means much.

3. I wish everyone who voted for Kerry would have one on their car
It might open a few eyes around here, if every other car had one! The Bush voters just mentally erased all the rest of us after the election, with a "get over it"! I'd like to see us all being little thorns in the side, now.

5. I miss my Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker
I had one on my car, until I bought a new car a couple months back. I didn't put any bumper stickers on my old car until it was fully paid for, and I'm hoping to do the same with the new one. But I could still tape one in the back window or something.

6. Still see them here
in Navy country. I will not take mine off. My son just met a girl who lives on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and the first thing he told me about her was that she had a John Kerry sticker on her car. I think I like her already. Of course she is a teacher and so is my son, they hate the NCLB.

7. I can't think of a single person involved in ED who likes NCLB
Not a one. Teddy Kennedy was soooo pissed on that when * neglected to fund it. Teddy was lied to. He had pushed for this program on The Hill and felt personally lied to and wronged when the Rethugs did their thing and weaseled out of their commitment to America's kids.

Honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm trapped in a bad national parody of the old 'Ten Commandments' movie. * is Ramses II, and the Dems are all much better Moses(es) than that wingnut Heston. "Let the people go, they have suffered enough," say the Dems. But *'s heart was hardened and he doubled the burdens on the people. No social security for you, no medicaid when you are in need, no loans or wimpy services when you are sick or unemployed or stuff like that. Really, it's nearly time for the ten plagues to descend on the Rethugs. The people have suffered enougn indeed.

8. We have a town election next week,
and there are a lot of campaign signs up. One very smart person who is running for selectman chose the Kerry colors for his signs - white letters on royal blue background with red stars. I noticed that seeing his signs made me feel good.

And then I realized that for me those colors are associated with hope.
