What do you want to concentrate on?
We have a lot of new people in this forum. We will need another intro thread again soon}(

Anyway, I was wondering, what would people like to concentrate on in the coming months. My Bolton thread is a sort of feeler to see if there is any appetite for research oriented articles in here. Just let me know. (And yes, I know I'm wordy and wonky. Do you still love me?)

1. Of course we still love you
I haven't had time to read all your info as of yet, Tay, and don't know when I will. Now that I'm done with my vacation, I have to get back to the grind of class/work, and plus I will be gone on Tuesday for an appointment out of town. HOPEFULLY SOON I can become an integral member of this board again!

As far as what we should concentrate on - I think we should be like our own little miniblog. News, opinions, any and all JK news/catnip... and don't forget coordinating this summer trip (which I hopefully can convince my parents to let me do).

*Sigh* Lots of bad things have happened recently. Perhaps throwing myself into supporting JK will help me take my mind off of the bad things and give me a reason to be happy.

2. me too
I agree with WEL about what to concentrate on, and I'd like to add, let's talk about the 2006 races for Congress or Governorships. It feels good to see Dems making progress.

Thanks TayTay for being one of our main news sources! :pals:

5. Would you believe I have stuff I don't even post
I had a story on tariffs and pickups and stuff as regards Indonesia and the US (zzzzzzz, sorry, I dosed off there for a minute.) Dammit, this is kind of important. It has pissed off the UAW. But, tariffs? I just couldn't bring myself to post it. Was I wrong?

4. WEL I am so sorry for the troubles you are going through
Did you make it to Boston, incidentally? And you are most welcome back. You bring an irreplaceable energy to this forum and I am happy you are returning. Now, get your act together and take care of your leftover business and then we can talk some more.

:loveya: :loveya: :pals:

3. I would definitely like to know more about Bolton
esp as he relates to Kerry.

And you just stay as wonky as you wanna be. Our guy is a wonk extraordinare, so it seems appropriate. And as a political newbie, I can sure use the background info. Keep it up! Of course we still love you, you silly person.

7. A response to Iraq and foreign policy
I would imagine Bolton would fit in there too. We have got to come up with an answer to "freedom is on the march". I think that might be the frazzled feeling of Democrats and lefties, en election doesn't justify a pre-emptive war policy but how to we respond without sounding anti-elections. How does Bolton fit into the wrong foreign policy and what can we offer as a real alternative that doesn't leave the Iraqi people in danger from outside terrorists.
