Kerry receives award from Kennedy Library Foundation
This happened today in Boston. Unfortunately, I was out of town for a few days, and didn't find out about it until it was too late to attend. :( It's supposed to be broadcast on C-Span at some point. :)

A Conversation with Senator John Kerry
Monday, February 28, 2005, 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Senator Kerry, the Democratic nominee for President of the United States will receive the distinguished American Award from the Kennedy Library Foundation. He will share his thoughts on U.S. policies both home and abroad with Pulitzer Prize winning Boston Globe columnist Tom Oliphant.

Some other DU'ers attended - See this thread:

This is good news. I think there a quite a few of us in here who are either current MA people and were born in MA and have moved on but still have longings for the Bay State.

This is very good news.

Who else in here is a MA person?

And Congrats to the esteemed Junior Senator from MA. He deserves it and I am proud of him.

2. Lifelong Masshole
Grew up in Lowell, currently live in Haverhill. I guess I just have a thing for those old mill towns on the Merrimack River.

but now live one small town over from Lowell. (The mighty Merrimack is one mile from my house. I pass by it every day.)

This is great. I can now retire. (LOL!)

By the way, we also have a chapter of the 'I hate Mitt' club that flourishes over here. Just to mke you feel at home.
