Tweety got The Joke right!!!
Edited on Thu Jan-15-09 08:34 PM by MBS
On Hardball tonight, 2 minutes before the Smirker-in-Chief gave his farewell address (BTW, I have no doubt that the Smirker is one happy dude who can't wait to bail the White House -- as the Politico guy said, Bush never really wanted to be president, and, while the American people may be glad he's leaving, Bush himself is even more happy he's leaving). . ANYway. . In trying to summarize who Bush is, and what his legacy will be, Tweety mentioned the Joke , saying something like this: "In 2006, John Kerry said .". . (you guys know what he said, so I won't repeat it here}. . "Sen. Clinton misconstrued what he said, but everyone knows what he really meant. . what he really meant was this . that if you don't study and aren't curious, you end up getting our country stuck in a place like Iraq". I'm sure I don't have the exact words down, but I've definitely got the meaning right here. Yes, he mentioned HRC. Yes, he was clear about what JK really meant. YES, he used JK's comment as a way to summarize the very essence of who Bush is.

Miracles do happen.
(though I have long believed that Chris Matthews, in his own quirky way, has always liked and respected Sen. Kerry).

2. I saw it, too. The tide is turning...
...at long last.

3. yeah but he sure took a lot of pot shots at him in '04.
Day after day, until I finally couldn't take it anymore and shut him off. I think he was much more of a Bushie back then. Or else just doing the bidding of "powers that be". Anyway, he's a chameleon and I don't trust him.
