1. Nice post and great photos!
In addition to the great pictures of the Kerrys, the Kennedy and Cleland photos were nice. (I wonder if Cleland will have any role in the government now)

6. Thanks.
I think my favorite is Vanessa with her dad in the background. It's interesting, don't you think?
We had a great time, and we'll have some interesting video for you all, probably tomorrow.

11. It is an interesting photo - their expressions and faces are somewhat similar

- and she is gorgeous as is Alexandra. (In another picture it looks like his brother's hair is becoming silver like JK's - unless I mistook someone else for Cam.)
I am so glad that you all had a great time - and I'll be looking forward to the video. It will likely be cool in the future when you see SFRC hearings to remember being in that very room. It is nice that his family was there to share the day with him. (Tay posted that HRC's confirmation will be this Tuesday. I wonder if the distinguished Chair of the committee will be back in DC.

2. What fun!
I like that JK has been Obama's eyes and ears around the world. At least that's what I've seen some outlets report. I hope it's true because that's about the only thing, internationally, that I've got much hope in these days.

8. Seeing him in that room
and thinking that he'll be in charge of the SFRC gives me a lot of hope, too.

Woo Hoo! SFRC Chairman Kerry. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

3. How wonderful to see such a celebration...
...by a group of people who have worked VERY hard to bring us to this moment. Thanks, GV!

9. All of us, and a lot of the people in that room
have been working very hard for Sen. Kerry, some of them for decades. And I know he's appreciative of all we're doing.

I think you'll hear his sis in the background of the video saying she owns the rights to 'first Kerry supporter', LOL. I guess so.

4. Thank you for going and reporting back. I rely on you, GV!
I am more settled to the SFRC chair, and its great possibilities. Teddy looks wonderful.

(Thanks also for Pittsburgh, up close.)

7. Oh, speaking of chairs ...
That last photo, as you probably guessed, is the Chairman's chair. It's amazing to be in that room and think of the history. Wish you all had been there with us, it was really something.

5. thanks-- this is great.
I loved the sense of happiness and celebration all around. Great to see not just the family, but also Casey, Dodd, Cleland and especially Teddy .
Also several old friends from this forum and the old 2004 John Kerry website. : ). Must have been a grand event.
