By Associated Press
BOSTON - January 29, 2008 - Most members of the all-Democratic Massachusetts congressional delegation were quick to criticize President Bush's final State of the Union Address.
In a statement, Sen. John Kerry said the speech "reminded America of eight years of opportunities squandered.''
Sen. Edward Kennedy _ who endorsed Barack Obama for president earlier in the day _ issued a statement saying that the president's address should convince Americans more than ever that "it's time for change.''
Kennedy said Bush failed to provide constructive solutions for the nation's problems.
Newly-elected Congresswoman Niki Tsongas of Lowell struck a more conciliatory tone, saying she was pleased that the president seemed willing to cooperate with Congress on formulating an economic stimulus package.
