1. You beat me to it! Already rec'd and commented.
Looks like there are some positive comments. Of course, he's going to make the Rec List if he hasn't already!!

4. Yep. I wonder when he'll respond. I just want it to still be on the
Rec List when he does. There is so much going on today what with those hearings with Sampson, and a Republican halting the hearings, and then it starting up again. JK's diary is #5.

5. He read my mind, and is beginning to respond. Very cool.

He said in the update he only has a minute or two.

One comment is there (and he links to Grist):

bringing prices down (1+ / 0-)

We do need to create a system where the marketplace brings prices down. We need an administration that’s genuinely committed to funding alternative forms of energy and energy efficiency so that every family can afford to make these changes to their homes. We already see more demand coming from the bottom up. I think that economies of scale are coming that are going to push a lot of these things down in cost, and they'll become far more accessible. You're gonna see Wal-Mart and Costco and a bunch of people selling many green products and energy-saving home retrofits at affordable prices before very long.

8. Lots of comments from the good Senator. A lot of
policy stuff on the environment. Wow -- very impressive. Answering questions and commenting a lot earns a politician LOTS of points on dailykos and mojo, too. Hmmm . . . I wonder if he'll get troll rate abilities by the end of today. :)

9. 12 comments. 13 if you count the tip jar.
That's how many comments Sen. Kerry made. And they were ALL substantive. This matters. He responded to the most interesting comments about the environment (including our own Ray of Light :)). What can I say -- this puts him on the map like no other diary before he's done of really engaging with the netroots on serious issues. This puts him up with Rep. Conyers, IMO, in terms of activity and response. Nobody in the Senate can touch him with what he did today. And of course, let's not even get into how pathetic Republican politicians are in engaging with their own netroots (um, nonexistent).

10. I love this comment:

but I find it remarkably amusing and also heartening on some level that you're enough of a regular blogger to not only use the internet, but also put up a tip jar. Warms my heart and makes me feel better about voting and donating in 04.

Somebody really needs to tell the White House that "1984" is a cautionary tale, not a political guidebook.

11. That is a cool comment. And that's what I'm talking about.
It just shows he cares about what the netroots is about that he bothered to learn all the little idiosyncrasies of the site (or his staff did, and let him know, but still -- he did it), which makes him more accessible, and to get to the heart of the matter -- the issues, which here is the environment.
