Help me spread this
I think this Jeff Gannon story can be a catalyst to exposing ALL the crap they're doing with our media. I pulled together all the media propaganda stories I know of. If you know of one, add it to the blog please. Also, please help spread this. I have a gut feeling this could be a big deal. It's simple enough to understand, how'd a nobody internet writer get into the White House??? Somebody pointed out the security issue, which is important as well. How did this guy pass a security screening?

Thank you.

2. Okay
Thanks. So you are ToughEnough. Pamela and I were just wondering about that today. I'll give you a link from our blog. Can we have a linky?

BTW, I don't know who Joan Vennochi is, but i have to say I actually agree with her. To a point. I just heard Hillary blathering about abstinence and girls who don't get pregnant because of their religious values. :eyes: She is trying to run to the middle and it is going to be met with laughter from most voters. Some in the party did help paint Howard as a lefty liberal, although he chose that himself as well. I chalk that up to politics, but it is a hurdle we'll have to overcome and we did help create it. We do have a keen ability to shoot our own, of course Howard has done his own share of shooting at the DC Democrats and painting them out as moneyed insiders who don't care about the people. It's as if our voice is more powerful against ourselves than against the opposition. Could the pony in the poop pile be that we actually do know how to attack and spin, and that people DO believe us!! lol!

Basically I thought the writer was saying that maneuvering isn't the answer, but too many Dems think all they have to do is say something new and people will believe it. It's just not that simple because these same people talk to real Democrats in the real world and know what we really think. Republicans can get away with it because their followers will repeat the party line, even if its in direct contradiction to what they said the day before.

We've got a tough row to hoe, that's for sure.

3. Vennocchi is a conservative columnist...
with an axe to grind. She came off of the business pages of the Globe and has been in OpEd for a couple of years. She was pals with David Warsh who smeared Kerry with the 'he shot an unarmed kid in the back' story back in Oct of '96. (I can and will back this up with documentation if asked.) She is not now, nor has she ever been a Kerry fan. Her advice has always been condescending, snippy and full of forebodings of doom. She does not have a whole lot of credibility with me. (I knew her a little, I used to live in the town she lives in now.)

Vennocchi wants the Dems to shut up and sit down. Her arguments are not convincing. According to her point of view, the Dems need to develop an original voice, but one that isn't too partisan. In other words, she is looking to see the Dems become Repubs-lite. The tip-offs in her article are near the end when Howard Dean becomes acceptible when he returns to her image of him as the fiscally conservative, socially liberal Gov he was before the '04 race. (a known and defanged quantity.) Come on, Dems need to stand up and develop their own message. Saying that Dems are basically Rethugs, only a tad better for the working class is stupid and a sure-fire recipe for complete ongoing irrelevency. I agree with Kerry's recent interview on this one, Dems have values, they have to get that authentic message out. Look at her Kerry comments. Can you say ripped out of context?

BTW, the Gannon story is very big. The Globe covered it a week ago and I think it just needs to be tipped to get it into the mainstream. This is fraud, manipulation and possible violation of security procuedures. Plus, this is about the 4th Rethug guy who is closeted. (How can those bastards sleep at night.) I hope that the liberal blog world doesn't rest until that bastard's face is plastered everywhere and everyone knows what a lying bunch of dishonorable whores these people are. This has Rove's little pudgy fingers all over it. That whore is an insult to the nation.

5. This scandal might have some legs
It has deceit, lies in high places, some juicy fraud and, surprise, the kinky gay sex angle. (Advertising for gay military escorts, I wonder if Falwell knows this yet.) I think I smell at least a Nightline special. Really, what else does it take to get the media's attention?

I think I am in a slightly feisty mood today. I feel like I am waiting for a fight. Strange. I have no idea what brought this on, other than the fact that they were painting walls at work and I have a fumes headache.

I feel delinquent not contributing, but I'm just enjoying everyone else's posts. I seriously DO think that some shit will go down soon, though, and I think our John has front row tickets.

7. Yeah,
I've been writing about her since the campaign begin. Her attitude towards Kerry is just as TayTay describes.

I do happen to agree with the criticism of Hillary as well, but then I'm not a Hillary fan anyway. But, as TayTay says, Vennochi just carps and carps and carps. She is worse than a repug - she is a lame, oh-my-god-what's-wrong-with-the-dems backseat driver.

9. lol
Well I figured it must be something like that. I did notice that it was a slam piece. But she was right in the maneuvering which is so obvious. That's why I really like hearing JK say that the party doesn't need to change a thing. We don't, we just need to make our case better.

I'm not a Hillary fan either, I just see her as an opportunist.

Just a feeling of insincerity I get from her. And she gives off a kind of a chill.

14. Was David Warsh fired or forced to apologize?
Why would the paper even print such an outrageous claim without solid investigation and reporting? I heard it repeated this year, so at minimum it may have had some impact.

8. Eric is really toughenough,
but we share the duties. He travels a lot for work, though, so sometimes it's hard for him to post.

I'll email him about a link to your blog. I'm sure he'll be very happy to add one.
