Argh!! Not the Kerry/McCain stuff...AGAIN!!

I'm not going to mention the thread, or poster...but it seems they're raising the Kerry/McCain rumor again. And once more, distorting and lying!! How many times does this have to be debunked? The last thread about it was closed with the moderator mentioning how it'd been debunked. It's been proven time after time from McCain and Kerry's own words that no offer was ever made for McCain to be the VP pick, and the stupid rumor about the Kerry people sending out feelers was debunked too.

So why do some DUers keep dragging this up? Besides a brief conversation that Kerry said he had with McCain about it (both said they had major issues with the idea) nothing EVEN close to an offer was ever made.

And yet, it's brought up again and again!!

I suspect DU isn't the same for them since Kerry announced he isn't running in 08 and Kerry posts have trickled down to nearly nothing.

spewing off right wing crap against Kerry. because they have a hard time saying anything positive about whoever they support even though they claim that person they jump to defend on anything isn't their first choice.

that one particular person should mostly be ignored. they claimed Dems were going to lose in 2006 because of Kerry. they were disappointed when that didn't happen because they were looking forward to bashing Kerry. now they just look for any chance to bash Kerry on anything. nothing to back up anything they claim.

Someone (*cough* not going to EVEN begin suggesting who it was) here on DU just used NewsMax as a source to try and prove the point that Kerry 'wanted' McCain as his VP pick in 2004!!
