Kos insults another Democrat more than Kerry

As much as it was obvious Kos disliked Kerry, he didn't write about him as badly as about Biden today. Here's the end of his post:


So either 1) he's a patronizing asshole, or 2) he's a historical revisionist asshole. Either way, he's an asshole. And either way, the racial element is inescapable.

Update: I got an email from Biden's director of online communication claiming I'm giving a "one-sided impression" of Biden. Aside from the fact that this poor guy (Eric Carbone) thinks blogs are supposed to be "fair and balanced", it's true, I've completely forgotten to write about the other side of the story -- how Biden is a bought and paid for subsidiary of MBNA. When Bank of America acquired MBNA, Biden was likely part of the package deal.

It will be interesting to see how Biden is received on The Daily Show after his gaffe today.

1. Biden deserved it.

kos attacked him only about Obama, but he also attacked Kerry, Gore (blow dried candidates who did not connect), Clinton, and Edwards in the same article.

After other offensive comments made earlier in the year (he has a chance to win the primary because DE was a slave state(?), you cannot go in a 7/11 if you are not Indian), at the very best, Biden needs to think before he speaks. (:mad: they said that Kerry is gaffe-proned and should not run:mad:, and this guy is still running).

5. Still running--but not very far

Biden is running, but going no where other than picking up some more publicity (which certainly hasn't helped him today). The difference is that for someone of Kerry's stature it is pointless to run if he cannot win.

I can imagine that in the future political races will be described by the candidates who got knocked out by a gaffe, with the last candidate standing being the one who made the smallest gaffe, regardless of their qualifications for the office. At that time Kerry's botched joke will no longer appear all that signficant.

Regardless of whether Biden deserves it, it is fun to watch Kos attacking a Democrat other than Kerry. (Of course he also attacked Lieberman, but that no longer falls under the category of attacking a Democrat.)
