Are your JK bumper stickers going to stay on?
My '04 one is still on...but I'm wondering if I should change it now to something else.

1. Funny you should ask
My car got totaled back in August, and my Kerry '04 sticker went with it. Today I found a John Kerry for President sticker with no year on it; I was planning to put it on whatever car I buy next. I decided to hang onto it and see what happens in '08.

2. You know, I have a Kerry/Edwards sticker on my car, and I'd
like to remove that and have something more, well, just John Kerry. I do have a John Kerry bumper sticker, but here is my question: how do you remove a bumper sticker from your car? I mean, it's really stuck on there, so I need some advice for that.

3. My K/E sticker peeled off just fine--in pieces though.
I replaced it with the JK-only one I have on now. My bumper is plastic/vinyl, the same color as the car, if that helps.

18. Don't know about bumper stickers, but this works on other tenacious stickers
Try heating it with a hair dryer, That warms up the glue and allows you to pull off the sticker. I havent tried it on a bumper sticker, but it has worked really well on some other stubborn stickers I have tackled.

22. the goo-gone might take more of the gelcoat off! Don't use it!
Your best bet is to put on a new sticker or keep the old. Do you know you can make your own magnetic stickers now? You can even make your own sticky-stickers now.

4. Hell Yea
I have one that says Don't Blame me I voted for Kerry. I have another that is just John Kerry for President. I took the Kerry Edwards one off to put Bob Casey on. I would have taken that one off anyway. Edwards is a snake oil salesman.

5. I could never put it on, because mr. blm works in a newsroom.
I am tempted to do so now. Not like I'm advocating a candidate, right?

7. Replaced by Granholm
I replaced the Kerry-Edwards sticker with a Kerry 2008 sticker early in 2005.

Last year I had my car detailed and the sticker came off. I decided to replace it with Granholm since the current Governor's race was more pressing at the time. (Her opponent, Dick DeVos, was trying to buy the Governor's position as a stepping stone to be President, and he'd be even worse than Bush.)

By coincidence I finally got around to taking off the Granholm sticker the day before the announcement. I was thinking of putting another Kerry '08 sticker on but was holding off as I suspected/feared that he would be announcing he would not run. Of course if he decided the opposite I would have had a Kerry sticker back on so fast.

I have some bumper stickers around that say "My Dog is Smarter Than Your President." Perhaps I'll put that on. I also have some Impeach Bush bumper stickers.

I also have a W with a line thru it sticker on my car--that one made it thru the detailing without getting ruined.

I didn't know that. I live in Ann Arbor; Ray of Light is just a couple towns over. Which part of MI are you in?

8. My sticker is still on my car and the Kerry sign is still in my window.
And neither have faded or peeled.

They will remain FOREVER (I've got another Kerry sticker as backup).

9. thats cool. I am leaving mine on for the life of the car
The Kerry sticker makes a statement on several levels I had two. I covered over my Kerry-Edwards sticker with a sticker from a bait and tackle shop.

10. LOL! Bait and tackle shop!
The Kerry sticker takes on another meaning now that he's not running. He's ceased being a presidential candidate and has become a movement. We're part of the Kerry movement. The conservatives are going to wish he were just a candidate.

11. you're probably right about that--
--just stand back and watch him go!

I'd like some sort of "timeless" Kerry sticker if it exists. Or something Kerry-related that's current to what's going on today.

13. "Campaign for our Country" has a ...
...nice ring to it. :) Until then...my sticker stays put. I was hoping to replace it with Kerry 2008, but I left it on to make CLEAR that I didn't vote for this mess...so it's still serving a purpose. :patriot:

27. You're probably right
Especially when Kerry became the Democratic nominee, he had a responsibility to consider the impact of every little word. Staying honest, because he has to know that he would be very bad at lying because he has had no practice :) and has a conscience.

Now, he speaks for himself - from his incredible heart, mind and soul.

24. I like that
I like that first Idea

A sticker with

"How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake"

with John Kerry's name.

I think that's what I'd like to replace my Kerry Edwards one with, if I could find it anywhere. Has anyone seen one like that?

Meg

26. Yes
It's so completely applicable to this current war. I wasn't alive during most of the vietnam war - I was born the year he gave that speech, so it doesn't mean much to me cause I don't remember the war but it still applies now. I also think I want it on my car, because it was that speech, when I saw a video of it, that made me think - wow, what a man to be that insightful at that age.

23. haven't decided
I still have my Kerry/Edwards one on. While cleaning up, I came across a new Kerry sticker from before he picked Edwards as a running mate. and was thinking of putting that up instead of the Edwards one. Now that he's running, I'm not sure.

I think I'd look a little silly with a Kerry for Senator sticker here in Missouri.

28. How about 'setadeadline.com'...
...dark blue background with white lettering? I'd love to 'advertise' as I drive down the freeway. :) And maybe another one that says 'Campaign for our Country' with johnkerry.com below it (white background with blue lettering) ??? I need something soon...my old sticker is cracking apart. I was hoping to have Kerry 2008 by now. :7
