2. Done.
Did you see this comment by kos himself?

Too bad Kerry didn't win. Or at the very least, too bad Bush didn't listen to Kerry.

Is he softening towards JK? His last few mentions seem to have become warmer. Not that I keep close track - maybe it's all in my head.

10. Too bad Kos didn't support Kerry when it mattered
Biting my tongue so hard not to say "too little, too late, Kos." So many of his toadies are all too eager to throw that tired line at Kerry, so it's cynically fitting.

13. Thank you -- you are very kind. But really, I'm mostly relying on
Kerry for this one and his words. I REALLY liked that line about how even 100,000 troops wouldn't secure the place. That's important, and he deserves to be seen on lib blogs for saying clearly why more troops won't work.

Anyway, with all the mini-fights we had on the thread, it was really nice to read these two comments at the bottom. This is why we do what we do:

Kerry is making a comeback. He is going to get (8+ / 0-)

my serious consideration in 2008. He was right about what we needed to in Iraq in 2004. His position has become more sound since. Hillary is just a waffler. Edwards and Obama will also merit consideration, but if this were a choice on who would actually be the best person for the job (not the best candidate) it would be Kerry hands down.

As time goes on, I realize more and more, how much I really like John Kerry. Will I be voting for him in the primary in the event that he decides to run??? I'm not sure yet... but boy would I feel safe if he were our President...

14. FYI -- Subterranean has bombed the diary with I think 7 new comments
He's going after Kerry with a vengeance. I responded to his two comments to me. He's also responded to MH1 and WEL from what I could see.

He just did it now well after 11 PM. Kind of weird since the diary dropped off the rec list hours ago.

18. To hell with it, I started a new thread (and I REALLY don't like doing
that in GDP). The propaganda has to aggressively be taken down.

19. Do we have the transcript of the NPR interview, I knew when I heard it
that this sentence would be extracted from the context and turned against him.

22. I haven't found a transcript yet, but he was answering a direct
question about his opinion on the surge. His answer is not a conditional opposition to the troops surge. I'm surprised people are even considering it that way. He's against the troop surge. He's for diplomacy.

21. I think it may be the smartest thing to do, rather than continually responding
in the negative ones. My thought is, counter once in the negative thread, than start a positive thread to counter.

23. Nice informative thread though
and there is a real difference between Kerry's position and that a the one person with some misgivings. That poster has been unequivicvcal in thinking for a very long time that we need to leave immediately. That is not Senator Kerry's position - as you posted if the regional political process began and looked good, Kerry would support backing the political process militarilly. The poster wouldn't.

Far better than the gnat throwing dirt around on the other thread.
