:) I'm just extremely relieved that the researchers are speaking up about it and rebutting it. However, as satisfying as that is, I have to remain awfully realistic about the response from RW evangelicals. The vast majority of them will steadfastly refuse to acknowledge what "the Doctor" is doing with the research data. I would imagine that even if you directly confronted one of them with this article, they would turn it around and say that the researchers must have screwed up their project or misinterpreted (even deliberately) their own data because of their "liberal" agenda. Because obviously, the good doc is NEVER wrong.
*sigh* And yet, I must beg you all for patience and compassion. These are people I care about, and brainwashing is a blasted hard thing to undo. Believe me, if I had some instant cure, I'd be busy administering it.
