on Hardball. Rollins (repub strategist) said that they all want Hillary to be the nominee because they could beat her. Either we take this at face value, or we assume that it means the opposite--that they don't want her to be the nominee. Why else would he plainly state it. He said Obama is a blank slate that everyone is projecting their expectations on, and people like him because he has a nice deep voice. At the mention of Edwards he just shrugged and said, "eh."
Trippi wants Gore to run. Thought he could have won in'04. Said he's confident that after two terms of a repub president, people will want a Dem one, if historical patterns follow--unless the president is popular (not a chimp with his ratings in the toilet).
They didn't talk about Kerry this time(good thing). Trippi at other times has said good things about Kerry, so maybe would approve of another Kerry run sooner or later.
I guess we won't have to wait too long before we know JK's mind on this.
