Gonzales vote - Is anyone keeping track
of the no votes? I've missed a fair amount of the debate so far, but here's my tally (this is only people I've heard say they intend to vote no with my own ears. I assume we can safely add Kennedy, Kerry, Boxer, and a host of others as well, but I don't know for sure.) Please add away!

Mikulski
Schumer
Durbin
Jeffords

I'd forgotten them. Ooops.

3. I just read that Ben Nelson said he will vote FOR Gonzales.
I bet Bayh is a NO since he voted against Rice already.

on Kerry's position? I assume he's a no, but haven't heard anything from him.

Leahy - NO

6. No, I haven't heard ANYTHING. My Internet was down for 36 hours
and I felt so lost and isolated. It is really pathetic how addicted and dependent I am to this connection to the world.

It came back up this morning (cable company was switching servers or adding a new one and it took much, much longer then they said it would take).

14. If so, it's tomorrow
I'm not sure he's going to speak, but I would guess he is. Why not? He did a fine job of pissing off the Rethugs on the weekend with their imaginary takes on things he didn't say in the MTP interview. Why stop now? Actually say something that they can misconstrue as helping the insurgents.

I am so proud of MA. Pissing of Rethugs everywhere we go in the Senate. Yeah us!

17. Leahy said earlier
that they're alternating 1 hour dems, 1 hour repugs. Makes it easier to know when to tune back in. It's the second half of repug hour now.

21. I'm hoping he does, too
I don't think they originally planned all day tomorrow for debate, but now they do, so there must be quite a few who have asked to speak.

Did anyone else catch Byrd's line about shrub crowning himself?

I'm all atingle with anticipation...

OH MY GOD - he's voting to CONFIRM. Where is his brain? He's become the kinder, gentler ZELL.

Sounds like he's gotten a lot of requests to vote no. he's spending a lot of time justifying himself. Good luck, Mr. Torture Apologist.

I'm really PO'd - even if I'm not surprised.

I wonder how much they gave him for his soul.
