Some shmuck out there is advocating calling the Kids First phone number
and asking for universal health care. I will probably be called on the carpet for it, but I told him fairly nicely to knock it off. If you want to give feedback as to why they should be going for universal health care instead of just children first, then use the Senate office number. The instructions for this number expressly say it is for expressing why this bill is important.

I told the person that bill number 114 isn't going to suddenly morph into a universal bill. It's too late now to say this bill should be one thing or another. It is what it is.

I don't know why this bugs me so much, but it does. This person thinks he/she's so clever to call the number for a purpose it wasn't intended to be used for. I don't think it's at all cute to spam the number with your own agenda, be it a different sort of health coverage, or fraud or what have you.

Grrr.

1. it's pretty arrogant of them, to say the least
To call up and act like you know more than a high-ranking U.S. senator. I'm sure if JK thought it would be better to go for the whole ball of wax at once, he would have. That's what he campaigned for. But in his speech he made it clear that this was the first step. Oh well, disrupters will disrupt, whenever and wherever.

2. I called to fully support this bill.
It is a good start, begin with the most vulnerable (and cute) population. I pray to God it will pass. Nothing substantial in the State of Union Address about Health Care, it would be different if Kerry was in Bush's chair....

3. Alot would be different
We'd be taking care of our veterans properly, for one thing. That's for damn sure.

4. What's also be sure we'd be going after Osama instead
queer Americans! I'm so tired of Dubya's shit and tired of people saying that our parties are the same. Why the hell can't we have a prez who gets a 100% HRC rating like Kerry? Why the hell do we have a prez who wants to persecute at least 10% of the American population and they spout on about freedom and liberty?

5. Why can't we have a Pres who has a 92 lifetime from the LCV too
Kerry kicks ass on the environment, one of the reasons why I like him.

6. LCV? Too many acronyms! But, I know he is miles
ahead on Dubya on the environment. For Goodness sakes, Dubya and his fricking "Clear Skies" crap in the SOTU, what Kerry called "Orwellian," a very polite way of saying complete bullshit.

7. League of Conservation of Voters
Say hey, have you read America: Citizen's Guide to Inaction
Read the part where they compare the candidates on the environment.
Environment
Bush: "Clear Skies"
Kerry: Clear Skies
