What were the "Kerry Clan" eating with Babs? Why wasn't the blog invited? Who is that ugly man on the cover of the paper and why is he using Bechtel to correct the mistakes made by, ahm, Bechtel.
Babs’ Dem lovefest hits high note at Kerry soirée

Barbra Streisand made a political pit stop at the palatial pad of Sen. John Kerry the other night, shortly after the Demmie diva mocked President Bush from the stage at the TD Banknorth Garden.
According to our Streisand spies, the Funny Girl and her hubby, James Brolin, pulled up to 19 Louisburg Square after midnight in a rather un-divalike minivan for a late-night supper and political gabfest with her fave Boston liberal and his daughter, Alexandra.
Earlier in the evening, after belting out “Happy Days Are Here Again” during the soapbox portion of the show, Streisand told the throng “I hope, on Nov. 7, I can sing that again. Right, John?”
Kerry, sitting front and center on the Garden floor, smiled and nodded enthusiastically at the thought of his party taking over on Capitol Hill come Election Day.
The senator’s spouse, Teresa Heinz, we’re told, was MIA from Bab’s Boston gig because she was in her hometown of Pittsburgh on the stump for Democratic congressional candidates.
Other Demmies in the adoring audience at the Garden included gubernatorial front-runner Deval Patrick, who reportedly has been offered a helping hand from Barbra. Which comes as no surprise since Deval worked for President Bill Clinton - and we all know how Babs feels about Bubba!
Deval, BTW, gathered quite an adoring crowd of his own in the pricey floor section during Barbra’s 20-minute intermission.
“He’s getting more attention than (Mayor Tom) Menino,” cracked someone in Section 12. Ditto for Kerry.
Now, before we leave the subject of Streisand and Clinton, who do you think the deep-pocketed diva will support if junior senators Hillary Clinton and Kerry both make a run at the White House in 2008?
Babs came out big-time for the Bay State pol during the 2004 presidential election, holding a huge Hollywood fund-raiser that raked in $5 million for his White House bid. (Her Bush-bashing version of “People” was a cyberhit that week.)
As for Hillary, didn’t she ban Babs from the White House after she discovered the diva had an overnight visit with Bubba when the lady of the House was away?
Our money’s on Kerry. Discuss amongst yourselves . . .

And, in other news, Deval Patrick has a 27 point lead over Kerry (Kerry) Healey. No one likes the Ice B*tch and the number of people who said, "No way, we ain't voting for her unless someone kidnaps one of the kids" is above 60%. Say goodnight Gracie, cuz you is done.

Independents, turned off by negative ads, flock to Patrick in new poll
By Andrew Ryan, Globe Correspondent
Democrat Deval Patrick has a commanding 27-point lead in the governor's race as independent voters abandon Republican Kerry Healey because of her negative attacks, according to a new poll released today by 7NEWS and Suffolk University.
Patrick had the support of 53 percent to Healey's 26 percent in the survey of 400 likely voters taken Oct. 20 through Oct. 23.
"The tone of the campaign has moved independents away from Healey," said David Paleologos, Director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center. "The tone changed from constructive criticism to negative and really turned off independent voters."
Sixty-one percent of those surveyed said they were unlikely to vote for Healey because of the "tone" of the campaign. Healey has particularly criticized Patrick's record on crime.
Massachusetts is about to become My Blue Heaven. Sigh!
