OT - The John McCain Charade
Edited on Sat Sep-30-06 09:31 AM by Mass
Robert Kuttner seizes McCain very well. May be it is time to send that to Reid and others McCain enablers.

2. Yep. People need to wise up about this guy.
It's not just that it would prevent a Dem from taking the WH. It's that John McCain exhibits the SAME bravado, ruthlessness, and warmongering that Bush does. If he wins, the nightmare will continue.

3. I asked myself why he wants to be president, and I come with nothing
but, ego. I used to think this man was wonderful. Now, I am angry at myself for falling for his deceptions. The media needs to get wise too.

4. Democrats need to be wise on him as well. McCain is not the honest man

or the maverick Republican that some of them depict (and Kerry has been guilty of that, though he is rather less than others, probably because of 04).

Imagine Biden/Mccain. What would Biden answer if somebody asked him about all the times he said he would like to be McCain's running-mate in the last two years.

It also comes back to something that was written a few months ago:

"it is the conservatism, stupid".

We need to point out that, or we open the door to somebody like Romney, Guliani, or McCain, who have been critical of Bush, but are still nearly as bad as he is.

5. "It's the conservatism" - exactly
People are always making fun of states like Mississippi and Oklahoma - why do they turn around and vote for the political policies that turned those states into laughing stocks? Conservatism doesn't work, it's a failed ideology. Enough with the Goldwater worshipping. It's time we come up with a response to cut taxes and small government.
