6. Thanks
the only way we will end it is by replacing republicans with GOOD Democrats. NOT by replacing weak Dems with REPUKES.

7. Poll: Sestak leading!
Sestak curretnly leading Weldon 44-43
(For those who don't know, this is one of the most consistently Republican districts in PA. Bob Edgar was the first Dem elected there since Reconstruction. May Sestak be #2!!)

10. Yep!
Heard it on NPR this morning and did a happy dance on the way to my car to go to work.

You are right about the rethug history here, but the district has been getting bluer. Gore and Kerry both won in Delaware County (which is most of the 7th district) - Santorum is famously quoted around here saying after the 2004 election "we (i.e. rethugs) got crushed in Delaware County". Of course Weldon still won but Scoles got 41% of the vote with only $25,000 in funding and a 3 month campaign. That was a hint that people around here are getting a bit tired of Crazy Curt.

PA-07: Sestak (D) has Weldon on the ropes
by kos

Franklin & Marshall College. Dates unknown. MoE 4.7% (No trend lines)

Weldon (R) 43
Sestak (D) 44

We're getting close to having raised $100K for Joe directly, probably much more as their fundraisers hit up donors with additional fundraising pitches. In 2004, the Morrison campaign (versus DeLay) was able to take the $80K or so we raised directly for him and turn that into $460K. This is real money, and there's no doubt that he wouldn't be doing this well without our help -- both financial, on the ground, and in building buzz and attention for his race.
