1. Keep an eye on the C-Span schedule for a rebroadcast of this
later on today. It should also be available at the website later on to download.

This should be a fun show. I think the Senator does well with 'young' crowds.

2. I'm watching this now
. . and he's great! You can see it live on the CSPAN website (www.cspan.org). When I opened it, JK's program was featured on the "front page", so it's easy to find.

4. Turned it on 5 minutes ago
He is having fun answering questions. (They've all been softballs so far - is Would Kerry like freer format debates - come on, would the Yale debate champ like freer debates, rather than little 2 minute answers.

5. Non intellectual observation
They are playing a clip from the Miami debate where Kerry was spectacular. However, they switched From Kerry live. Kerry looks 10 or more years younger NOW. Teresa was so right that he needed to gain weight. He really looked thin then. (The clip just fininished with Bush asking where Kerry would get money to pay for the homeland security stuff. - Kerry had an incredible laugh and said he had fotgotten that.)

10. How many other pols could pull this off?
Seriously, I don't think there are many who can speak off-the-cuff on such a wide range of subjects.

I think our JK may be re-inventing national campaigning.

This is a powerful program, one of the best I've ever seen. The "corporatization and conglomeratization" of the media.

Please post this is GD-P! Please! Back to the program.

The Senator has a better haircut now than the severe cut he had at the debates and he looks better.

Damn, that was a nice interview. It should be put out on DVD. I think Kerry really does like dealing with students at these forums and tries his best to be level and truthful with the answers to their questions. That format is a natural for him.

17. Every time
I don't know how he always manages to outdo himself. Just when you think you've seen the best he can do -- he outclasses even himself!

And we've all participated in distance learning sorts of setups. There are ALWAYS glitches. But he took everything in stride. Incredible grace and warmth.

And then the forcefulness and conviction. Well. :-)

you'll have to pick me up first. That was great, I think his heart and gut feeling is to run, and that is my heart and gut feeling too. We can do better, and we will.

31. "I've got something left to say"
That was incredible. I really like his answer on Vietnam -- I felt like he was a teacher explaining that history that I am not as well verse in.

You know he's going to do it. He's doing it for the message alone. I think the message will always trump biography -- I'm not saying biography isn't in the mix, but what you're going to do is what is most important. And it's for a "noble" cause. You got that right, Senator Kerry.

Kerry '08!!

20. I missed that one - needed to leave the room to answer
the door. Can someone say what he said.

I was amazed at all the answers. Senator Kerry was so open and comfortable. It was amazing here his answers on anything asked. No long pauses, just a thoughtful considered answer. What was cool was to see that he actually was having a huge amount of fun with it.

I loved the answer on JFK. It's cool that Kerry knew him, but more cool that he in maybe 30 words he was able to make me picture the reason in the early 60s I was obsessed with Kennedy. (He's actually why I started reading the newspaper.)

He is fantastic with students. He would have likely inspired the kids as much as JFK did. I really hope this will be replayed.

21. Woo Hoo!!!
Sen Kerry signed a C-Span Campaign '06 shirt for me after the class today!!!
My friend from C-Span caught him after the discussion, and had him sign it.
Yay for C-Span (and my friend and JK, of course)!

He really was awesome. Sounds like he's got a cold or something, though.

It's good to have friends like that, isn't it? It was his idea, he's very sweet and knows from my continuous e-mails about covering one Kerry event or the other that I'm a huge supporter.
Best part, he told JK he could cross out '06 and add '08!

Just a bump to let people know this is being repeated. I can't tape it off of C-Span 3 at home because I don't get that channel, but it will be nice to see this again on the web.
