1. Hey, I just read that on TPM
Call me crazy, but why do people think Robo calls work? As soon as I hear one on the phone, I hang up -- aren't most Americans like that? Why would a person sit on the line to answer the questions from a recording? The only time I did was a Focus on the Family one, because I wanted to skew Dobson's results.

2. For a different reason this might backfire in Indiana
Edited on Fri Sep-15-06 09:23 AM by karynnj
I grew up in Indiana and unless things really really changed word, Indianian, alone will make it obvious to all HOOSIERS that this is from an out of state group. I assume that could cause some backlash - beyond the fact that it is illegal.

Hoosiers, like people from other states, don't like outsiders messing around in their election. Remember how badly the calls from the UK backfired in Ohio.

Seriously, "Indianian" sounds very strange. (From 6th grade Indiana history, Hoosier comes from suspicious state residents in colonial times calling "Who's here?" when they heard people outside the door. Probably folklore and untrue, but does suggest they are not looking for strange Texans to advise them on elections. >) )
