He's part of Blue Mass Group, though. Was that the one that is anti-Kerry?

1. BlueMassGroup was started by folks who worked for Kerry

in '04. They are not against John Kerry. They are Mass-souls and have the right amount of idealism and cynicism to be representative of the State. (They don't hate Kerry. They worked very hard for him in '04 and took all that grief and energy afte 11/04 and started BMG. They are good and fair people, IMHO.)

3. This type of people are part of the reason I have not been able to decide

for Patrick. They have used all the techniques the Dean supporters used during the 04 primaries and it is really tiring. Actually, they have been providing arguments to Gabrieli. These guys (not you Tay-Tay) are "rabid supporters", even if it does not mean that Patrick is a bad guy.

BTW, he is poorly informed about the polls or lying. There were 2 polls yesterday. Both show Patrick ahead, but, while the SUSA poll show Gabrieli flat and Patrick going up (with a sample where 40 % have a graduate or post-graduate degree, and a 4 % undecided), the other one shows Patrick flat and Gabrieli progressing.

Anyway, it seems that there is no doubt that at this point, Patrick is ahead. I hope today debate is going to help me choose, but any of these three is going to be enormously better than Kerry Healey.

4. AHm, the 'wine and cheese' society worried me a lot

A very, very, very, very, very lot. I am relieved to see Deval Patrick start talking about taxes and about the real concerns of average voters. Hope is nice and it's vital to a campaign, but you can't feed your family on it. (And it lends itself to parody very quickly.) I want a fighter in there as well who understands the stakes and will advocate for the working families of Massachusetts. I feel much better about Mr. Patrick in the last two weeks. He has discovered the other strain of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts and is speaking to it rather effectively. (Whew!)

5. there was a poll on NECN last night

that showed Patrick pulling away.

I hesitated a long time about Patrick because his supporters (Tay aside) reminded me so much of the Deaniacs. Put me off.

For the record, Romney Is a Fraud endorsed Gabrieli. He makes a pretty good case, I think. I won't be heartbroken if Gabrieli wins.
