1. Really??? The day after the Mass Primary? What time?
Edited on Wed Sep-13-06 10:29 AM by TayTay
He should be at the Unity Breakfast and watch as primary opponents try to heal over bacon, eggs and bagels. (Maybe it's after 11:00 am. He can go then, that would be okay with me.) Maybe the good Senator will be home the night before and will talk about how we have to bash Rethug brains in at a Victory Party and then depart to give a speech. Gee, I was looking forward to that. (Darn. OTOH, ahm,I swear I am not complaining for myself about not seeing Sen. Kerry, honest. It's a state thing, really.)

Hey, is that near you or anyone on this board? If so, can you file a report? (How can he skip a Unity Breakfast? Those are the funniest events in all of politics.) Ahm, he does belongs to the MAss-souls sometimes you know.

2. Either it's a very early or very late breakfast, or JK will miss it.

3. Then that means that he will skip Mass events on the primary day

Which I can see. Not his election, not his focus. But I am somewhat sad at missing the Unity Breakfast. I just adore those events and I would dearly like to see a pic of the new Democratic nominee for Governor of Massachusetts standing with Teddy and John. Ahm, I know it's selfish of me, but, I want that. It would be very nice. Ahm, if you do't mind, just for a pic, I would like them to be 'Our Great Massachusetts Democrats.' It would mean a lot.

5. No Unity Breakfast this year
We have all become such nice, humane and sweet human beings in Massachusetts that we are all going to be singing Kumbaya to each other on primary night. (Sigh!) Apparently, nothing says loving like a check so the newly minted nominee of the Massachusetts Democratic Party gets $1 million, a pat on the back and a hardy admonition to "Go get 'em honey, we're right behind you." The Boston Phoenix sez:

"Finally, Johnston promises the party will spend $1 million on TV ads in support of the nominee immediately after the election — something that didn’t happen in 1998 or 2002 — and that key players from the three Democratic campaigns have already pledged to work together come September 20."

Oh and somebody, who won't disclose their donor list is running anti-Kerry Healey ads. (The SEIU has stepped up to take the heat for this, but I suspect others are involved.) http://www.patriotmajority.com/ This is a really curious website. Patriot this, Patriot that. Geez, we have a lot of Patriots in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts is so easy and tame now. Sigh! Nobody hardly hates anyone anymore. It's tough to deal with after all these wonderfully memorable fights. On the other hand, we need to win that Govs race.

Apparently, I am a to be a lamb now and not a lion. Sigh!
