Hearings this week.
Yeah, Congress is back in session, until either Sept 29th or Oct 6th, depending on which date most threatens the well-being of the Republic.

The following list of hearings will go on. I, of course, have no idea if Sen. Kerry will attend these hearings or not. (I think he will on the Lebanon one, but what am I his mother? I don't know his schedule and if he needs to be at these. He might be though.)

Witnesses

Opening Remarks
The Honorable Kevin J. Martin
Federal Communications Commission

Mr. John Kneuer
National Telecommunications and Information Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce

***************
Oh, that's today. Can you even imagine the Rethugs on the Committee trying to figure out how to get the FCC nominee to be even more forceful in saying he won't allow any more Janet Jackson episodes during the Superbowl half-time show. ("We must have a war on sleaze. No, Janet Jackson had nothing to do with the War on Sleaziness, but she has stayed at Marriott Hotels and they show porn movies on Pay-per-View, so there is a connection. If we don't fight this type of thing now, soon the porn will be attacking us in our homes again. We must never again let boobs attack us through our TV sets. We must fight this war or the Boobs have won.")
