5. His reaction after he said that was PRICELESS!
Like Tay said in an earlier thread, he seemed to really enjoy delivering that line. It was an intense speech for sure (love me some pissed off Kerry) but the beautiful smile he gave after saying that was perfect.

7. That was perfect.
The line was perfect and the schoolboy grin and the real pause he took to take in and enjoy that moment was just wonderful. I loved that.

8. It really was a schoolboy grin - that could be seen easily
from anywhere in that room! I think he had little choice on the pause - it would have been tough to speak over that applause. At least around where we were, everyone I saw was grinning as well - reflecting back Kerry's grin. It was a very cool moment in a very serious speech.

the grinning was definitely contagious lon distance, I was grinning in front of the TV like a happy mischievous cat :-)

I watched on Cspan last night, but did not read the prepared text, was this in it or was it an adlib? Wonderful in either case, and so character revealing, I think...
