Whome loves the b&w, but we're willing to share.

It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to see you all. And the Senator, of course.
I'm going to post some more of my favorites.

5. Great shots GV!
I especially love the first one and the one of JK and THK looking at each other. Are you still in Boston or did you leave after the speech?

7. I'm in Andover.
Going home tomorrow morning.

It was a great speech, IB.
Funny how he's just so aloof and lacking in charisma that people were actually following him home. Swear to God, that cracked me up. He couldn't leave, they had him trapped in the hall, then outside, and when he finally did get away, folks were chasing him down the street!
I wish I had got a pic of that, LOL.
I hope the car was close.

He seemed to be having fun with them, though.

8. That's incredible!
Can you think of any other US Senator who gets chased down the street by adoring fans? Somehow I just can't picture that happening with Sens. Barfbag or Ted "Incredible Hulk" Stevens. On second thought, Sen. Barfbag did get chased down the street by a monkey and a giant banana, but that wasn't quite the same.

18. It really was so funny.

I had this image in my head of him tunring around at his front door to politely but firmly say, goodbye. I think it was GV who said the scene reminded her of the pied piper.

And, mind you, this was a full half hour at least after the speech was over and the hall emptied.

6. Great pics
Those eyes they speak volumes, so sincere and caring.

Can you tell us a bit more about the speech and the chatter at the hall today, inquiring minds would love to hear more.

9. That last pic is one taken when I finally left
the Hall. I did go over to Senator Kerry and tell him that 'the bloggers' say hello. He gave me a big smile, specifically said to say Hi! and thanks to all of you for doing what you do and that "more work is on the way." I got that a nice pat on the shoulder that I now formally forward to all of you. (Hugs people, hugs.)

I also got a chance to very, very briefly see THK. She was, as ever, looking lovely and is such a warm presence. I also sent over the best wishes to her that people asked me to send this week. She sends them right back at ya!

So, now you know. The Senator thanks you for your help. More help will be needed.

It was a good day.

I imagine it's OK with the mods to let you know, I didn't want to double post that many pictures.
There's no poll or anything.

15. By the way, keep you eye out for this moment tomorrow
when they show the speech on C-Span. Kerry had this great line in the speech after he pointed out that just this week (or month) Bush had said that he would abide by the Geneva Conventions and that he would not allow torture, after stonewalling the McCain Amendment last Nov and doing everything he could to convince Congress to give him the ability to use torture. "The President was against torture, before he was for it."

This was, apparently, the occassion for the biggest grin on the Senator's face that people can recall seeing. He clearly loved that line and loved delivering it in the Hall. I didn't see it. I had my head down and was concentrating on my typing. But everyone mentioned that as the highlight of the speech. A big, big grin over delivering that killer line. LOL!

GV, Karynnj and others saw that. They did say how great that was. So watch for it tomorrow night.

Thank you! :loveya:

Are you a great photographer in general, or do you just have an artist's eye when it comes to Kerry?? :D

Sorry I'm so late to respond - didn't get home till after 7:30. Karynnj and her husband and I walked all over the place, talking the whole time. It was great.

21. It's not the photographer
it's the subject.

Sigh. What time is it, not quite 4am?. I new there would be a down side to this trip.
It was great to see you. Now to get home and watch the speech!

We had a great time - seeing lots of Boston. I had no idea till we got back to the hotel how late it was. (I hope we didn't impact any plans you had.) That was a great day.

The photo is gorgeous.

I would have felt comfortable saying so, if I did have plans. But I didn't. I really enjoyed the afternoon with both of you. And it was great to see what a kick your husband got out of Fenway Park!!
