A rather lovely lady who has been most kind to people from this group has a birthday coming up in early Oct.

I wonder, should we get a card and perhaps some sort of gift together for her? What do people think. We could do a plant, which are not expensive, and then perhaps a group donation or something.

Any thoughts on this?

go to orchid.com and see if anything strikes your fancy. Fall is a particularly good time to get a plant there. The prices are low and the plants are just gorgeous.

I can't decide on colors. The reds are spicey and really stand out, but the yellows are just full of inner glow and some have those lovely makrs on the outer blossoms that distinguish the plants so well.

Anyone have a preference?

10. In all honesty, I think the lovely and talented

lady we have in mind may already have the first choice. It is alarmingly similar to the one that finally arrived in Boston last Dec, after the weird snowstorm delayed everything. (I will check my records, but that is extremely close to the one that we personally delivered to a lovely Boston abode last year.)
