I just found this on of all places Kyl's re-election site.

Senator McCain said that supporting the Reed-Levin Amendment was equivalent to supporting a premature withdrawal of our troops. Now my RW parents think Joe's a good guy! My parents are my "propaganda-o-meter": from what they are telling me, I can tell that FOX and whatever other wingnut media they watch have been portraying Joe as a good, wonderful, honest man who's been "wronged" by his party! It is so obvious what's going on, but they are clueless and don't see it.

The kicker: my mom even wrote to me that he'd make a good president in 2008!! Wow--the RW media must be really laying it on thick for them to think this!!!

I find it amusing when one Republican friend thinks he is showing how nonpartisan he is when he tells me that if Lieberman was running for President he could vote for him. Like that surprises me that a (fellow?) Republican would vote for him.

The reason they are bringing it up with me is because they think that I will approve of them liking a Democrat--shows how nonpartisan they are, as you said. Like now we are all on the same page! All I can say to that is ha-ha-ha. Of course I don't because they are my parents and old, so I'm polite.
