I am pretty certain he's going to run. He's doing all the right things to make sure that he stays the favorite progressive.

1. He may well decide that being a visible progressive--
--does not necessarily entail running for president again. The campaign took a great deal out of him, as he worked hard at keeping up with his congressional work concurrently.

However, if he does, I'll follow him out an airlock.

2. If he runs, certainly.
Although I'm not convinced he will. I think Feingold is likely to run and will probably get my support if DK is not in the race.

I will be with him. If he is not I will listen intently to what he has to say about who is.

7. Me, too!
With that wimpy and overly bureaucratic "ten-point agenda" being pushed by the DLC apologists in GD Politcs today, I think we need Dennis more than ever.

8. It depends on who else is running
I might support another progressive if there is someone very good who I think will do what it takes to win. I supported Dennis because he shares the same political ideals that I have, but I hope in '08 that we have a real progressive with a better chance of winning. I might support Feingold or Dick Durbin if either of them ran.

I love Dennis but if you want to be President you have to pick up the phone to raise money every week and you have to hire a campaign manager who has actual Presidential campaign experience. I would hesitate to support him again unless I knew he was going to do those things next time.

10. The problem with a firm stance against corporate domination
of the political process is that campaign managers who have that experience don't want to work for you.

11. There were people with experience
who were willing to do it that he could have hired. The choice to pick someone with no political experience at all was made by Dennis because that is what he wanted.

12. Examples?
I'm betting that Michael Whouley, who bagged Iowa for Kerry, would not have.

who were considered for the job. First, it would be inconsiderate to those people, and second I'm sure there were people I don't know about.
You're right that Dennis would not have been able to get the big name consultants that charge huge fees, but he could have gotten someone who had at least worked a campaign before in some capacity. Or better yet, someone who had worked on a Presidential campaign before. Nothing is like a Presidential campaign and no amount of experience in other areas can prepare you to effectively manage one. Picking two complete political amateurs in a row to manage his campaign was a mistake.
