No water from the well

it became a trickle tonight and now no water at all. Best case? Something is clogged. Worst? The well's dry. I don't wash the cars, I don't water the lawn or the gardens and am very careful about wasting water. There's power to the pump house but no pressure in the line in the basement.

1. Could be several things......

...the well could have sanded in, the impeller in the pump may be trashed, or it could be clogged. Unless you have experienced a drought recently, I doubt it's run dry. Our springs sometimes stop flowing in drought years, but flow year round, usually.

2. We've had an extremely dry year

I'm leaning toward a pump issue. I think the pump is well past it's useful life. I hope the landlord can get someone out here tomorrow.

3. So far we've ruled out the filters

and the pressure is less than it was before. There doesn't seem to be any power getting to the pump. Oy. I've got so much to do and I have to wait on the landlord.
