A Day in the Life of an Ambush Bug

Normally spiders get top billing during the fall because they tend to build easily viewed webs.

Just thought I'd add a lesser known bug called the Ambush Bug. They are a genus in the larger Assassin Bug family, Reduviidae.

Technically, many insects, spiders and bugs eat other insects, spiders and bugs. It's probably the case that some entomologists were on a marketing campaign, and giving the nicknames assassin bug and ambush bug were a means to sell otherwise overlooked insects.
