Survivor 22 - Spoiler ONLY for the theme of next season and ID of 3 survivors, no other information!
This thread has a spoiler about the theme of next season's show. It was posted in the Lounge by Lynnsin, so I give her credit.

http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/survivor_22/2010_Oct_12_carrie_prejean

The 22nd season of Survivor may have at least one cast member who’s even more well-known than returning cast members Russell Hantz and Rob Mariano: Carrie Prejean.

She’s the Miss USA 2009 contestant best known for answering pageant judge Perez Hilton’s question about same-sex marriage by saying marriage shouldn’t include same-sex couples, and for later having her contract terminated by Donald Trump’s organization, reportedly because of a sex tape. She subsequently wrote a book called Still Standing: The Untold Story of My Fight Against Gossip, Hate, and Political Attacks.

That’s according to a report at Survivor Sucks, which also says there is a second, less-famous beauty queen on season 22 also. If true, Prejean’s casting would follow rambling beauty pageant Caite Upton’s appearance on The Amazing Race last season.

Season 22’s big twist is Redemption Island, and although this kind of stunt casting is atypical but increasingly part of Survivor, giving her a chance at redemption via the show makes a tiny bit of sense, though it could just be a coincidence.

I'm more upset that Russell and Rob will be back. Though I like Rob, I've had enough of these two.
I fear this show has jumped the shark. This season has been weak and if they are going back to the Russell well, I might have to ditch.

1. I haven't missed an episode yet
but I may make an exception if they're going down the road to celebrities from the D list.

OTOH, I've heard on good authority that the celebrity version of South African Survivor produced one of the greatest players ever, so who knows?

3. I don;t think I can do celebrity survivor
I was not a fan of the idea of Jimmie Johnson, and as I suspected he had a huge target when he probably shoudl not have. It altered the game a bit. While I hardly consider that dumb woman who made the anti-gay comments to a celeb, its the desire to keep pushing russell down our throats that I find annoying. I liked him the first time because he was different. The second time, it showed he was really just a gimmick player and his act got old fast. this will be a black eye on this great show.

4. the more I think about it
the more I'm fine with this. As with any season, the idiots will be voted off early, and the good players will last to the end, for the most part.

5. Russell has become tedious IMO.

There was a time when I looked forward to every episode of Survivor.
I can't say that now. I don't even care that much about seeing Boston
Rob in the mix again. I think it's time to retire Survivor.
