LOST wasn't the only show with a badass fade to white cliffhanger. How bout Supernatural?
Dean is betrayed by the Angels who want to start (and win) the final battle, only to be freed by Cass, who is again, flirting with free will...

Demon blood roided Sam kills Lilith, breaks the final seal, and frees Lucifer...

Next season we do the apocalypse!

Awesome finale.

Perhaps it was not a _fade_ to white. Perhaps it was a _change_ to white.
